Fishing in kayaks

A fish trip to Lake Martin when I had my Pro 14

Hobie Lynx, the best fishing platform on the market today, would not trade it for anything, I love this kayak, I have caught hundreds of fish out of it in the last 2 years, fresh and salt water.

here's my 2-4 hour fishing kayak

On an early Monday morning, I was in the bay looking for fish, when I hooked a ladyfish and was playing with the fish for about 3-4 minutes and not even 20 feet from me
3 large dolphins started breaching out of the water as this picture shows, it was an intense 5 minutes, hoping none of the dolphins landed on me, the only day I did not have a camera with me. This has only happened to me 1 time in the 30 years of fishing, the dolphins went into a feeding frenzy with all the ladyfish in the area. You never know what you will encounter when you are on the water. I was not worried about flipping out of the kayak, I was more concerned about a 600-pound dolphin landing on me. always be alert when you are kayak fishing by yourself.
