Here was my latest attempt at shooting my own family... by the time I got everyone ready, the props, then got to the location, it was mid day, super blinding bright, & we were roasting hot! BUT, the kids were good, & we were able to get a few good shots in! I was going for an oldies (circa 1950's) look w/ the kiddos hair & clothes, but the humitidy sort of killed it.

I do not normally shoot in a studio, it isn't my strength or style, but I was talked into it by my editor & her flatery... Needless to say, I have certainly been humbled, b/c it was the most stressful shoot I've done in a LONG time, I was SO discouraged afterwards, but as usual my dear editor saved my work! I think they turned out rather sweet... but I won't be doing this again! This did affirm to me, that this isn't my style or strength in photography, and that's OK :-) That's also why I work on my family first... hahahahaha! Anyway, this is our newest little addtion, Baby Weston Isaiah Kellen, Born May 11th
