Congratulations to our 2026 Bozeman Middle School Volleyball A & B Teams! ❤️🏐💙
First, congratulations to every athlete who stepped on the court and gave everything they had during tryouts. We know how much courage and hard work it takes to compete.
For the first time in a long time, we had enough talented athletes to field both an A Team and a B Team. While that’s an exciting milestone and a sign that our program is growing, it also meant we had to make some very difficult decisions.
To those who earned a spot—congratulations! Your work isn’t finished; it’s just beginning.
To those who didn’t make a team this season, please don’t let this define you. Keep working, keep improving, and come back even stronger. Many great athletes have faced disappointment before finding success.
This is a great problem for our program to have because it means Bozeman Volleyball is growing, competition is increasing, and the future is bright. We can’t wait to get to work.
GO BUCKS!

Congratulations to everyone who earned a spot on our 2026 Varsity and Junior Varsity teams!
Thank you to every athlete who participated in tryouts. The effort, attitude, and competitiveness displayed throughout the process made this year’s selections incredibly difficult. We appreciate the commitment shown by everyone who stepped on the court. Being selected is an honor, but it’s only the beginning. The work starts now.
ALL IN. ❤️💙

REMINDER
07/23/2026
People will judge a season by the final record.
And they should. The scoreboard matters.
But a program isn’t built in August or measured only in October.
It’s built in the early mornings when no one is watching. It’s built under a barbell, in one more rep, one more sprint, one more decision to do something hard. Championships are earned long before they’re celebrated.
Today marked the end of our summer training, and before we’ve played a single serve, I already believe this has been a winning season for Bozeman Volleyball.
Not because we’ve won a match.
Because we’ve changed the standard.
This summer, we had between 45 and 60 athletes, grades 6-12, show up and go to work. For many of them, this was their first experience in a weight room. They learned to squat, bench, push through discomfort, and expect more from themselves than they did yesterday. Today, many of those same athletes left with new personal records…not just on the bar, but in confidence, discipline, and accountability.
We still have such a long way to go BUT we are so incredibly proud of each and every one of these young ladies. Also shout out to parents for making a way for your athlete to get to 7 am workouts 3x a week and motivating them behind the scenes to keep showing up even on the hard days.
The goal has never been to chase outcomes. The goal is to build people, raise the standard, and improve every single day. If we stay committed to that process, the scoreboard will eventually reflect it.
Summer is over.
The foundation has been laid.
Now it’s time to compete.

Back home after an incredible three days at the University of Florida Team Camp, and I can honestly say this was one of the best learning experiences we’ve had as a program, yet.
We took 12 girls who were challenged every single session. There weren’t many easy points, easy drills, or easy conversations. They were pushed physically, mentally, and competitively from start to finish and the growth was undeniable.
I’ll admit, there were moments of frustration. There were moments of fatigue. There were moments when things didn’t go our way. But our girls kept competing. They stayed together, kept showing up for one another, and continued to respond to every challenge in front of them.
A huge reason this camp was so impactful was our camp coach, Luiz Lustosa. Originally from Brazil, Coach Lustosa is the Head Men’s Indoor Volleyball Coach at Webber International University and brings decades of experience as both a player and coach. His career includes competing professionally throughout Brazil and Europe, coaching the Brazilian Men’s National University Team, serving as an assistant with Team USA Men’s Indoor Volleyball, and leading successful collegiate programs before taking over at Webber. His knowledge of the game is outstanding, but what stood out even more was the way he taught it. He demanded attention to detail, held our girls accountable, and challenged them to think about volleyball at a higher level. We are incredibly grateful for the time he invested in our team.
Away from the court, Coach Melissa, Coach Cheyenne, and I got to know this group a little better, and let’s just say… they’re a lot. They kept us laughing, celebrating, and occasionally questioning our sanity. Thankfully, we got to hand them back to their parents.
Now it’s time to get back in our own gym and go to work.
