Just a reminder that tonight, Monday, June 20th, 6:00-7:00pm starts our summer practices. These are optional to attend but important to still do the workouts since we’re building up distance every week. It’ll be hot so make sure to stay hydrating.
While summer practices are not mandatory, you should start running to prevent injury as we build up the distance each week, and reaching any goal at the end of the season is based off the work you put in now. If you can’t make it, I’m putting in the workouts for the week below.

TCXC getting in some core work on this rainy night! We are facing many obstacles this year but we will keep doing our part. For the sake of ALL our Kentucky student athletes, please when in public and can’t maintain “social distancing!” We REALLY want to play this year!
Practices for the week of 7/6-7/10 we have moved to a later time to avoid the heat. We will meet at the 4H building at 7:45-9 o’clock pm. Please be prepared/ arrive a few minutes early to allow for time to go thru screening process. Bring your own water, towel/mat, and own bug spray. This is a voluntary period for all athletes, but you must have a current physical to workout. As from the start- if you are considering attending, please contact Coach Angela prior to arriving at practice to discuss expectations/guidelines. We have had excellent attendance the past few weeks, let’s keep that going! It’s wonderful to see the improvement and dedication already!
Please advise- practice for Monday, 6/29 is canceled due to heat. Runners please work out inside, or in the morning before temps rise.
Workouts are beginning on June 15, 2020! 👏👏👏
For those interested in running for TCXC this Fall please contact me in order to give you the details on the procedures we will be following to get back to sports safely. Attendance is not mandatory at this time, but it is asked that you give prior notification of your intent to attend so we may plan for numbers accordingly.

First day is June 15! Let’s get this started!!! 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽🏃🏻🏃🏻♀️💪💪💪🙌🙌🙌
TCXC plans on the horizon..
2020 has been a strange year so far...
So many things have changed.
If you’re looking for normal- that’s not likely returning for quite some time.
One thing possible for any young person beginning their summer is to consider the many ways to be ACTIVE. Whether it’s fishing, hiking, going to the gym, cycling, gardening, or shooting hoops in your driveway. The key is there is nothing stopping you from being ACTIVE. Gone should be the days and nights of Minecraft, Fortnite, Insta scrolling and TikTok surfing. Let’s reconnect to our physical health. Get outside and make the choice to be ACTIVE.
You can do it...
And by the way- Trimble County Cross Country is looking for those who want to be ACTIVE and part of a phenomenal team sport with a rich history in this County as one of its most successful programs.
Cross Country running takes guts, commitment, and guts, commitment and guts, commitment. It’s not ever easy...ask the 2019 Boys Regional Champs💪💪💪💪ask the 2019 Girls Regional Runners-up💪💪💪💪.
If you have the TRY, we have the sport for you! Running changes lives. From those who find their passion in it, to those who revel in witnessing the beauty in it, it can be you who realizes what has been missing so far.
The sports season for Fall 2020 is not written yet. That shouldn’t stop anyone from making the choice to be ACTIVE. Go find freedom and purpose and reward in a pair of trail running shoes...
If you’re interested in being with like minded young people, give me a call.
Grades 5-12 in TC schools who want to find out more, please contact Angela Wieczorek @ 513-403-9465. Please share with all your people and find out who’ll be on the line with you at the next race...
