An extremely grounding (and grateful) space to live in

I’m not often excited to take new steps in life but many would be surprised to hear that based on my history. The thing is, I don’t ever want to live with regret and that’s a motivator for me more than fear of the new.

It’s so easy (and even fun) to point fingers when we are puffed up in rightness as if we’ve never made a mistake or bad choice in our own lives.
💔I’ve been on both sides. The side of being cheated on and on the other side as well. Though I didnt sleep with anyone, I sure didn’t show up to the best of my ability. I tormented myself with shame for years after, it was the only time I wanted to “dissapear” from earth because my behavior was so out of line with my moral code.
And though it was 20 years ago, that doesnt mean it is or was okay. Young and dumb isnt an excuse.
🤦🏻♀️This post comes from someone who used to judge (especially in my teens) and got kicked in the trash enough times in life, that I’m now very slow to cast the first stone. The Lord humbled me big time, as did the consequences of my own choices.
⛪️I had a whole church congregation mocking me and making up lies to add to the story that I had confessed to on my own, so much so my family and I had to move.
I cant help but wonder how many are mocking are also, in this moment, committing their own form of “sin”.
I think of the man at work viewing p**n while the wife Is unaware because he promised he would stop. I think of the wife hiding her alcohol consumption and minimizing her dependencey on it. Or the sibling who back stabbed another family member for an inheritance.
I share all of this because though i can appreciate being clever… hell, I’m a marketer, I have concerns about humans, including myself, using other people’s crap choices as a distraction from looking at themselves.
I’ll remind you, this is coming from a former little brat face teen who would sit on a bench and judge people walking by.
Signed,
Watch yourself more than you watch others

A new day, a new choice. I’ve seen this meme in action in my life- both ways. I had always considered myself to be an extremely positive person against all odds but early this year I had a health crisis combined with a family crisis and boy did I have to remind myself of my old 🦄 ways.
🔥 Those times when I was dealt awful cards but still came out of the ashes with a smile on my face.
I remember early in the year thinking, “I miss my old unicorny self”. I never thought I’d need a meme like this but back in January and February, i found myself scrolling Facebook for positive quotes just like THIS one.
So whether you’re appreciating this quote as a reminder today or scrolling hoping to grasp on to something positive to turn you’re mood around like I was… this is for you 🤗

I love when I get creative projects. This is a book I designed the cover on put out by a law firm inspired by some awful injuries that one of the managing partners went through. He has a powerful “why” regarding why he went into personal injury law.
