Big news! 🇺🇸🛷

I’m incredibly honored to share that I’ve been moved up to the USA Luge Junior National Team for the upcoming season, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to take this next step.

This wouldn’t be possible without the support of amazing coaches, teammates, family, friends, and of course, my sponsors who’ve helped me along the way.

There’s a lot of work ahead, but I’m excited to represent Team USA and continue chasing this dream. Time to get to work! 💪

It was a great weekend of racing with much better weather and track conditions at Mt Van Hoevenberg It's been an awesome season and the race was the perfect way to finish. Some of my teammates are planning to move on to other pursuits in life, and the rest of us will anxiously await the USA Luge team announcements on May 1st.

The track crew has been hard at work and the weather is cooperating. It's time for USA Luge Junior National Championship races Saturday and Sunday (March 14/15).

Races start at 9am EDT both days and can be seen on Denise Riley's YouTube channel.

USA Luge Youth Nationals wrapped up on Sunday with another twist. Overnight Saturday temperatures remained in the 50's with rain and steady wind. The track above turn 8 was unable to be salvaged and the men's race was cancelled. The Mt Van Hoevenberg track crew worked tirelessly to repair the bottom of the track and salvaged a single race from the lower starts for the women and younger sliders. That meant that the two runs on Saturday became the final standings and I landed in fourth place.

Luge is a fickle sport timed to the thousandth of a second. This weekend threw everyone a curve ball but that's part of the mental aspect of the sport. It was fun to cheer on the other racers and celebrate with them at the podium.

Next weekend is USA Luge Junior National Championships and the last race of our 2025-26 season. Pray for better temperatures and fast ice!

At the end of Day 1, Andrew is sitting in 4th place with two more runs tomorrow that will be combined to determine the USA Luge Youth National Champion.

With temperatures in the 50's today, the track was in very rough shape. All of the athletes looked like they were in slow motion with weight becoming a disadvantage for the older athletes. The track crew at Mt Van Hoevenberg spent almost an hour between heats spraying the track with water to create better ice for run 2 and the race was on! Andrew had the fastest time of the day and climbed into 4th place.

Sunday brings two more runs. A combined time of all four runs will crown the next champion! 🥇
