Former Waccamaw High School principal David Hammel is returning to the school as boys volleyball coach.
The newest sport for the Warriors will debut in the next school year and be played in the fall, just like girls volleyball.
Hammel plans to continue to teach at Georgetown High School.
Hammel was the first athletic director at Carvers Bay High School so he knows a thing or two about starting programs.

What’s the saying ? Better late than never!

CONGRATULATIONS to Corine Gregory on a career high, and the only Double Double of the season, contributing 17 points and 13 rebounds versus Marlboro County on Thursday, Feb. 16th.

Gregory may have also recorded the first Double Double in school history, in a SCHSL Class AAA Playoffs.
