General information
Le Foyer Dart League
Main Rules
1.A fee of five dollars is due each week, whether present or not.
2.Starting time is 7:30pm sharp.
3.All dues are to be paid prior to 8:30pm.
4.The season is made up of two equal halves usually made up of 16 weeks. Halves may be adjusted due to holidays or weather-related cancellations.
5.The season starts the first week of September and usually ends the first week of May.
6.We play five games of straight cricket.
7.Each winning game is worth 25 points; losing teams are awarded one point per score.
8.Players are paired into two-player teams.
9.All players are matched by luck of the draw in the first half of the year.
10.In the second half of the year, players are divided into “A players” and “B players.” Each team during the second half is made up of one A player and one B player.
11.A league member who intentionally records a point that they didn’t get, will be subject to dismissal from league at the Board’s discretion.
Board of Governance
•The Board is made up 4 members.
•The league president is the tie breaker.
• All play and administrative changes are made by the board.
•Members must make all play and administrative change requests to a board member in person.
League President
•Responsible for scheduling all league functions.
•Responsible for maintaining all league finances.
•Suggests equipment purchases.
Positions
•A Players and B Players are determined by their rankings during the first half and previous shown ability.
•All positions are subject to board review and may be changed up to the third week of the second half.
Tokens
•Each member of the losing team must pay a member of the wining team with a token.
•Tokens cost $.50 each and may be purchased from a designated token person or other members.
•The league can redeem tokens during the last two weeks of each half of the season.
•Any tokens not redeemed by the end of the year are not valid the following year.
Dues
•Dues are used to pay all banquet costs, assessments, trophies and any other costs incurred by the league.
•Surplus dues may be returned to members only if they paid a complete half.
•Partial payments will not be returned.
•Any money owed by the members for darts supplied will be deducted from their return.
•Any outstanding balances incurred by the Dart Supplier will be paid by the league and added to the assessment.
• $10 per player will be put aside for future league expenses.
•Assessments are all money spent on supplies, towels, trophies, food, guests, banquet, and other miscellaneous expenses.
