At AccessPoint RI, empowerment means creating real opportunities—and watching individuals rise to meet them.
We are proud to share that Yrelda, a participant in our Dyer Day program, has been selected by Shri Yoga to train as a certified yoga instructor. With the support of Aria, one of our dedicated DSPs, Yrelda has already begun her journey toward someday leading classes of her own.
When asked how she feels about this opportunity, Yrelda shared that her family is very proud of her—and more importantly, that she is proud of herself. She’s excited for the day she can lead classes and help others feel strong, confident, and supported.
This is what inclusion looks like.
We are deeply grateful to Shri Yoga for their ongoing commitment to the disability community. Through their partnership, they offer free weekly adaptive yoga classes to our Dyer Day participants—creating space for growth, wellness, and belonging.
Interested in taking a class? Visit shriyoga.org—and don’t be surprised if one day your instructor is Yrelda herself.
