Good afternoon. I wanted to send a quick message regarding senior tables for the band banquet. The tables that the seniors will be decorating is the 6 ft round tables that everyone will be eating at. With that being said, please make sure that your centerpiece not too big that everyone at that table will not be able to eat. Our Intermediate North Beginner Band took home 1st Place at the Gator Music Festival in Dickinson, competing against 20 beginner bands from across the greater Houston area! 🔥
That’s FIVE consecutive wins at this event, an amazing legacy in the making!

Our Intermediate South Beginner Band also earned 1st Place at the Falcon Music Festival in Katy! 🦅✨
This marks their THIRD consecutive win, AND every section received the “Outstanding Section” award!

These accomplishments are more than just trophies, they’re building confidence, setting a standard of excellence, and shaping the future of Barbers Hill Soaring Eagle Band. The foundation these students are creating now will carry forward into our program for years to come. 🌟

This success is shared with our incredible parents, administrators, staff, and community. Your continued support makes all the difference, and we are so grateful.

Jazz band performed this past weekend at the Bayou City American Classic Festival

They received Straight 1s, Outstanding Performance and Best in Festival Awards

Outstanding soloists were Bryce Kirsch, Trace McRae, Jorge Lopez, Dane Genghini, Gage Womack and Aidan Oliver.

Congratulations to the ISS Beginner Band for earning superior rating with all 1’s from all three judges at the Falcon Music Festival!! They had their best performance yet on that stage, and all of the directors are very proud of them!

Congratulations to our Band and Choir students on earning the honor of being recognized as TMEA Scholars!

This prestigious recognition is awarded to students who excel both academically and musically, and we could not be more proud of these incredible students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

Balancing rigorous academics with countless rehearsals, performances, competitions, and leadership roles is no small accomplishment, and these students continue to represent our program with talent, discipline, and heart every single day.

🎭🎶Welcome to The Hill, Mr. Emmert!

Spencer Emmert has been named the new Director of Fine Arts and Head Band Director for BHISD, succeeding Chris Brannan, following his retirement at the end of this school year.

Emmert brings 24 years of teaching experience and a distinguished record of achievement, having most recently served with Sulphur Springs ISD. Under his leadership, his bands have consistently earned numerous UIL awards, first-division ratings, State qualifications and more.

We extend a warm Barbers Hill welcome to Mr. Emmert, his wife Christi and their family! 🦅
