18.7 Lionfish ,3.77 lbs New Record
‼NEW RECORD LIONFISH‼
Gary Whitfield is the new record holder for both longest and heaviest lionfish speared in the Gulf of Mexico! Gary removed this fish on June 10th in waters off Okaloosa County and quickly had its measurements verified by Coastal Resource Manager, Alex Fogg. This behemoth measured in at 475mm (18.7 inches) and a whopping 1710g (3.77lbs). Way to go Gary!
