A little about the guy behind the wheel:

My name is Jett Phillips, I am 16 years old and the only driver representing the Pegram/Kingston Springs area! Finishing up my rookie year in the crown vic class at Highland Rim Speedway. With multiple top 5 finishes and consistent speed, we are 3rd in the points championship and in contention for the rookie of the year!

Well I guess we used up all our luck Saturday and didn’t leave any for yesterday but that’s just how it is sometimes! Pretty much slowest all day even though I had personal best times. Just tried to stay consistent throughout the race and ended up 5th out of 8. We’re gonna throw some things at it for the Halloween race but we shall see!

Great day in the rain yesterday! MGM Chassis makes a rocket in the rain!! Fastest in practice, dropped down to 4th in qualifying, got up to 3rd in the heat and the final! Set up could’ve used a couple things but overall we are very good in the rain! Now we got to figure out the dry set up…. Off to running a 3500 pound crown Vic in the dry today!

Got the toys ready for this weekend! Weather is not looking too good for the crown vic but worst case scenario we race the kart in the rain both days! No call has been made as of now but we shall see!

Out of all the things Nashville could be voting on… I will never understand why voting to destroy a historic racetrack is at the top of that list.

I hope to be able to race there for years to come and it’s so frustrating that people that have never been to the track want it gone, and all of the lying and cruelty involved in these campaigns against the track hurt my heart.

I love Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway!

Had a pretty decent day yesterday at the track! We got a lot faster but so did everyone else unfortunately, but at the end of the day we were only 4 tenths off the leaders. In the final we were within 5 hundredths of 5th, 6th, and 7th but I made one too many mistakes and lost the draft. I believe we can squeeze another 2 tenths out of my driving and the kart fairly easily. 8th in practice, 7th in qualifying, 7th in the heat race, and 8th in the final.

Got the kart ready for round 7 at Music City Kartplex! Made some changes and we’re probably going to take big swings at setup tomorrow. Hopefully we can make something happen! Super exited to get back on track for the first time in what feels like forever! 🏁🏁
