I was born in Holland Michigan
I played Youth League Football, High School football, and Track. In 2004 I was on the Team that placed, State runner up, in the Prostart (Hospitality) competition. I have been an avid hunter and fishermen since a very young age. I have won several fresh water fishing tournoments in michigan as a teeager. My salt watter fising career stated in the dominical republic. Following the 2004 football season, I chose to do early enlistment in the Michigan Army National Guard, while still in high school. In May of 2004 I graduated from Mason County Central High School in Scottville Michigan. I enrolled in college in 2004 at Northwood University. I Joined Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and served as the Chapters Alumni relation chair.
In 2006 while attending Northwood University I volunteered to be deployed to Iraq, so another soldier didn’t have to go on a second tour. Upon returning from deployment, I re-enrolled at Northwood University. I earned my degrees in Hospitality and Business Administration. Three months after returning home from Iraq I was Honored to be the Kenote speaker on Veteran's Day in Scottville Michigan.
I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 with my National Guard Unit. In 2014 I was activated in response to the Flint water crisis, as a Station Commander. Upon completion of the mission, I was awarded by the State of Michigan the Legion of Merrit (LOM) and Distinguished Service Medal (DSM).
In 2019 I was retired from the Michigan Army National Guard due to injuries sustained in combat. In 2020 I moved to Pensacola, Florida to be with my family in my retirement. In January of 2021 Congressmen Matt Gaetz contacted the Department of the Army, on the status of my Purple Heart for my injuries received in combat. Where upon completion of the inquiry, I was awarded the Purple Heart for my injuries. Congressmen Matt Gaetz Presented the Purple Heart to me in January of 2022. In my retirement I was elected to the Escambia River Gun Clubs's Board of Directors. I serve as the Clubs Public Relations Chair.
