Your five minutes for this week. πΏ
ππ‘π ππ¨ππ² ππ‘πππ€ ππ§.
We ask our minds how theyβre doing constantly.
We rarely ask our bodies.
Try this today π
Find somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down.
Close your eyes.
Take three slow breaths.
Then simply scan.
Start at the top of your head and move slowly downward.
No fixing. No judging.
Just noticing.
Where is there tension?
Where does it feel easy?
Where has your body been quietly asking for your attention?
Place your hand on any area that feels tight or tired and simply breathe into it.
We store so much in our bodies that our minds havenβt processed yet.
This practice is a gentle conversation, not a repair job.
πΉππ£π ππππ’π‘ππ of listening to your body is an act of profound self respect. π

ποΈ This Week in Nature πΏ
What gets you outside?!?
This week is prime for morel mushrooms πβπ« in Northern MN.
Black morels can be found near mature poplar, and we had a wonderful afternoon hunting for them. π
The season is short, usually lasting about three weeks in May.
The ones we found were perfect with some on the dry side.
π³ Look for the right trees.
β
Verify with a trusted source what you find.
π‘ Take them home.
πͺ₯ Cut in half and clean them up.
π§ SautΓ© in butter.
π§ Sprinkle Parmesan π§ over the top.
π Enjoy!!

So interesting to hear a Search and Rescue volunteerβs perspective on a webinar today. They are seeing more people coming into the wilderness without basic skills. Relying too much on devices, many cannot read a map and compass nor have the ability to start a fire well, or know what to do in a case of hypothermia. I teach these skills while weβre on trail and we talk through scenarios like hypothermia so you can feel prepared and confident.
