4 QBs on the 53-man roster?! 🦅🏈
The Eagles just made modern NFL history by keeping four quarterbacks on their initial 53-man roster, and honestly, it’s a total head-scratcher.
Why carry four QBs when roster spots are so valuable?
Is a trade coming? The most logical guess is Howie Roseman holding onto a piece to flip for a late-round draft pick.
Preseason uncertainty? Tanner McKee had a shaky preseason, and Andy Dalton brings veteran depth, but keeping both comes at a high cost.
The sacrifice: To keep 4 QBs, promising high-upside players like Carson Steele, Joshua Pryor, and Oderney Bernard were waived/cut. There’s no guarantee they make it back to the practice squad.

Jalen Hurts spoke out on what true leadership and accountability look like in the locker room—and his message was loud and clear. 🦅💥
Addressing the overall mindset needed to build a championship team, Hurts emphasized the difference between individual focus and total dedication to the squad:
“I’ve always admired those who take ownership... I have humility about myself to say, ‘Hey, I could have been better right here.’ ... At the end of the day, he wants to win. He’s selfless. He is focused on the end goal, which is hoisting that trophy and continuing to win rings.”
Championship culture isn’t about individual stats—it’s about staying obsessed with growth, taking responsibility after tough losses, and keeping the main thing the main thing: bringing another Lombardi Trophy back to Philly. 🏆🔥

Fly Eagles Fly family, did everyone miss the biggest storyline on the initial 53-man roster release?! 🦅👀
While everyone was tracking the bubble battles at the bottom of the depth chart, Howie Roseman quietly made a massive statement: Jonathan Greenard is officially on the active roster.
Why is this huge? 💥
* Weeks ago, Greenard suffered a pec injury.
* Many assumed he was headed straight for IR or the PUP list, which would’ve forced him to sit out at least the first 4 weeks.
* Vic Fangio had been hinting that he wasn’t close to a return... but avoiding PUP/IR means he actually has a real shot to play Week 1! 🏈
With Washington’s offensive line banged up, having a healthy Greenard alongside Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter, and Jalyx Hunt completely alters the defensive game plan. Jayden Daniels could be in for a very long afternoon. 🔥
It’s not a 100% guarantee yet with two weeks to go, but keeping him active is the best-case scenario we could’ve asked for.
Drop your predictions below! 👇

Ok🏈 COULD A ZACH ERTZ REUNION BE IN THE CARDS FOR PHILLY? 🦅
The Eagles initial 53-man roster is set, but as Howie Roseman always says, roster building never stops on cut-down day! Reports are surfacing that a potential reunion with 3-time Pro Bowl franchise icon Zach Ertz could be on the table.
Here is why a return to Midnight Green makes so much sense:
1. Depth Behind Dallas Goedert 📋
While Goedert is TE1, he’s missed time in four of the last five seasons. Behind him, depth remains thin. Johnny Mundt is a blocking specialist, 2nd-round rookie Eli Stowers is battling a hamstring injury, and EJ Jenkins could easily end up as a placeholder. Ertz would instantly step in as a reliable, veteran pass-catching option.
2. Mentorship & Cheap Value 🧠💰
Ertz recently received medical clearance following his December knee injury and is hitting his 9-month recovery benchmark right as Week 1 approaches. Bringing him back on a low-risk, cheap deal gives rookie Eli Stowers a Hall-of-Fame-caliber mentor to learn under.
3. Finishing the Record 📜
The storyline writes itself: Ertz sits just 10 catches away from tying Harold Carmichael for the all-time franchise receptions record (589). Bringing him back to break the record in Philly would be an unforgettable moment for Eagles fans.

🦅 The Eagles Waiver Wire Drama: The Good, The Bad, & Howie’s Gamble 🦅
The NFL official waiver claims are in, and Philly fans are feeling a mix of huge relief and slight concern! Here is the breakdown of how the Birds made out:
THE GOOD NEWS 🍀
* IPPP Victory: Both international players, UR Bernard and Joshua Wayward, cleared waivers!
* They are officially heading to the Eagles practice squad, which means Philly gets to use an International Player Pathway exemption to effectively score an extra practice squad spot.
* They get to stay put and continue developing under Vic Fangio and DL coach Clint Hurt.
THE CONCERNING NEWS 😬
* No team in the NFL lost more players to cuts than the Eagles—a league-high 4 players were claimed:
* 🏈 Cameron Williams ➡️ Falcons
* 🏈 Miles Hinton ➡️ Bengals
* 🏈 Kepena Gushikian ➡️ Colts
* 🏈 Cameron Latu ➡️ Patriots
HOWIE’S MADNESS? 🧠
Losing Cameron Latu stings a bit—he’s a proven special teams ace, but Howie Roseman decided to keep EJ Jenkins at tight end instead. Is this going to end up like the Christian Ellis situation a few years back where the team quickly regretted letting him go, or does Howie have another masterstroke up his sleeve? Time will tell!
🗣️ Eagles Nation, we want to hear from you:
Will losing Latu come back to bite us, or are we overreacting over TE3/TE4? What was your biggest surprise from this year’s waiver claims? Drop your thoughts in the comments! 👇

The Eagles roster cut deadline delivered some wild surprises today... 🦅👀
Here’s the quick breakdown of where things stand:
🏈 The IPP Waiting Game:
Despite impressive training camps, international players Uwe Bernard and Joshua Weru didn’t make the initial 53-man roster. Now, it’s a 24-hour waiting game. They’ve been waived, meaning any other NFL team can claim them for their active roster. If they clear waivers, expect Howie Roseman to sign them right back to the practice squad—but Howie is definitely taking a gamble here.
🧠 4 Quarterbacks?!
The biggest shocker of the day: Philly is keeping ALL FOUR QBs on the active 53. Jalen Hurts, Tanner McKee, Cole Payton, and Andy Dalton are all sticking around. Keeping Dalton shows how much value they place on his veteran mentorship for Hurts and his deep knowledge of Shawn Mannion’s new system.
🙌 Elijah Moore Survives the Bubble:
At wide receiver, Elijah Moore officially secured his spot alongside Hollywood Brown and Darius Cooper as part of the 6-man receiver group.
Lots of moving parts still to come as the 16 (or potentially 17 with the IPP spot) practice squad slots get finalized.
👇 What was the most surprising move to you? Can we clear Bernard and Weru on waivers? Drop your thoughts below!

That’s a wrap on Philadelphia Eagles 2026 Training Camp! 🦅🏈
Here are 3 BIG takeaways as the Birds finish up summer practice:
🏃♂️ 1. The Run Game is Ready to Bounce Back
The offensive line looks completely invigorated by Sean Mannion’s new system. Huge shoutout to Cam Juergens, who is looking like his old self after battling through a tough back injury in 2025. He confirmed post-practice today that he’s feeling way better than a year ago!
🎯 2. The Pass Game is a Work in Progress
Expect some growing pains early on. While there have been flash plays, Jalen Hurts threw more summer interceptions than in previous years as the offense tests out a higher-risk scheme. It’s going to be crucial to see how Nick Sirianni and Hurts handle that added risk with those key middle-of-the-field throws.
🛡️ 3. Elite Defensive Potential
This defense could be one of the best in the NFL. Quinnyon Mitchell and Riq Woolen were ball magnets with multiple INTs this summer, while Jalix Hunt turned heads as a standout performer up front. The pass rush looks set to dominate across the board!
