As humans, our tendency is to try to escape or avoid perceived suffering. However, when we allow and befriend challenging emotions we open our minds and hearts to true clarity and equanimity. So grateful for this quote by Rumi and for a wonderful friend who gifted it to me years ago. .

Just me in my happy place. There’s a surrender that happens on my mat—a quiet connection unlike anything else. It’s like I’m reunited with my true self every time I join movement with breath. It’s always accessible and constantly evolving. 🙏🏻
