JD Hemminger A Difficult Out As Cannoneers Defeat Phila. Red Sox

JD Hemminger collected four hits in four at bats, as Cannoneers defeated Phila. Red Sox 16-6 on Sunday. Hemminger tripled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Cannoneers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jason Mills singled, scoring two runs, Pete Moore singled, scoring one run, Hemminger tripled, scoring two runs, and Tanner Lindsey doubled, scoring one run.

Cannoneers added one run in the second. Moore singled down the right field line, making the score 7-2.

A single by Lindsey, and a double by Andrew DeGaetano helped Cannoneers extend their early lead in the third.

Moore earned the win for Cannoneers. The pitcher allowed seven hits and four runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Sable took the loss for Phila. Red Sox. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing seven runs (five earned) on six hits, striking out none and walking one. Douglas Brown stepped on the hill first for Cannoneers. The pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over one inning, striking out two and walking two. BJ Winters pitched one inning of shutout ball for Cannoneers in relief. The reliever gave up one hit, striking out one and walking none.

Cannoneers accumulated 18 hits in the game. Lindsey, the number nine hitter for Cannoneers, led the way with five runs batted in. Lindsey went 3-for-3 on the day. Stefan Muller, Moore, and Mills each collected multiple hits for Cannoneers. Nobel Unger paced Cannoneers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Hemminger stole two bases.

Phila. Red Sox accumulated 10 hits in the game. Supermant, the number nine hitter for Phila. Red Sox, led the way with two runs batted in. Supermant went 1-for-2 on the day. Cantwell, G Armentani, and Ji Armentani each collected two hits for Phila. Red Sox. Armentani stole three bases. Phila. Red Sox stole four bases in the game. Phila. Red Sox turned two double plays in the game.
