Run for Africa (2018) was a high-spirited fun run - September 23rd at 1 Boathouse Row in Philadelphia. As you can see by this "positively defiant" pose of a young U.S. Coast Guard, all-day rain was no match for our enthusiastic bunch! Our young Coast Guard took first place and wants to do Run for Africa (2020) in Liberia.
Thanks to all who came out despite the rain; not forgetting Ronnie Levy (one of our senior citizens), who walked all three miles smiling and greeting onlookers. Our sincere appreciation to those who registered but unable to participate because of the rain or other issues. Our gratitude to the Philadelphia Fire Department for sending an ambulance standby. Thanks to all our volunteers and supporters!
