This is ISR! Drowning is the leading cause of death for children 1-4 years old. These lessons are what allows a child to breathe, to wait for help, to survive. ISR instructors are trained to teach these skills in real-life scenarios. We make sure the student is skilled in summer clothes and winter clothes, because accidents don’t just happen in bathing suits. Every child can accomplish these skills, they just need the chance to do it ✨

If you feel intimidated, overwhelmed or worried about ISR lessons, just remember these swim parents were in your shoes. My goal is to communicate, work slow, gain trust and confidence with not only my students, but with parents too. By committing to ISR, you're giving your child a valuable skill that will last a lifetime. You won’t regret it!
Crying in ISR lessons is a very often and normal response. For parents I know you would much rather see your baby happy in the water, and I know it’s hard to watch. But, learning something new (espically at a young age) usually takes some adjusting.
The reason why ISR lessons work and are different from the mommy and me classes is because we work through the tears.
After a few weeks, students quickly begin to build trust & a rapport with me as they begin to feel more confident in their skills.
Many parents ask “when do the tears stop” and the answer is “it’s different for every student”. Don’t let crying keep you from enrolling your child in lessons. For little ones, crying is their only way of expressing emotions, but they are still accomplishing a major skill!
Our swim parents will tell you that any tears are a worthy trade-off for the priceless self-rescue skills they will learn! 💙

ISR has changed my life and I am forever grateful for every person and support that has led me to this career. I will never take for granted each student Ive taught and every family Ive connected with. I look forward to many more years of honoring ISRs mission of Not One More Child Drowns. The past 7 years have been a dream.

Fall Sessions are here and spots are limited! Fall is perfect for new students to take the 6-week course in the off season. A quick Spring refresher and they'll be more than swim ready come next Summer! As kids grow, ISR refreshers help them build on their skills. Make safety a habit, not a one-time thing! Tag a friend who’s been wanting to commit to ISR 💛
