Great coaches don’t grind out behavior one player at a time. They build environments where the right behavior is the path of least resistance.

This week: Pick one behavior you want from your team. Then ask, what in our environment makes it easy? What makes it hard? What’s one thing I can change by Friday to make it the default?

Ownership isn’t freedom without standards.

April tested me in ways I didn’t expect.

There were moments this month that forced me to slow down, reset, and reevaluate a lot, personally and professionally. Sometimes life has a way of reminding you that your health, mindset, and perspective matter just as much as the work itself.

At the same time, April marked one full year at Clayton State University.

One thing this year has taught me: growth doesn’t come from motivation alone. It comes from consistency. Showing up on the hard days. Staying disciplined when nobody sees it. Building standards daily, even when it’s tough! 

Proud of how far our program has come. Even more excited for where we’re going next.
