Slow Cooking your weight-loss
Read about my weight loss journey and how to get yourself started on a journey of your own

I am excited to announce that I will be joining the staff over at as a Sports Performance Coach
I cannot thank and enough for giving me this great opportunity
Excited to get to work and help our athletes improve
Softball requires athletes to be able to run on a curve when on the bases
These drills give the athlete the stimulus needed to learn how to properly run the curve
If the first time the athlete is exposed to this stimulus, is when they are on the field. They are behind the curve
Ladder Drills
A great way to teach athletes to properly absorb and apply force quickly and efficently is by using the ladder as a visual guide
The first drill is a Lateral High Knees drill, it teaches the athlete to apply force quickly into the ground to move laterally
The second drill is the Icky shuffle, the athletes are cued to try and keep the outside foot as close to the ladder as possible
This keeps the athlete in a good athletic position, allowing them to apply force under their hips instead of getting into a less efficent position outside our hips

This blog post probably should have happened in January.....But I can be a big idiot at times and not properly prepare myself for things, even if they are important. Now I am glad to say that after taking the Practical section of the CSCS exam I finally passed. Now, by pass, I do not mean just barely scrapped by like a tall tractor-trailer going under a low bridge. [ 421 more words ]
