Practice makes perfect in Philadelphia. 🚣

For over 200 years, the Schuylkill River has hosted some of the nation’s most prominent rowing events. The river is home to the Stotesbury Cup Regatta, the largest high school sprint race in the country, and the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, featuring more than 2,000 boats and 8,000 competitors.

Here are some upcoming rowing events in the city:

🚣 Philadelphia City Championships: May 4-5
🚣 Stotesbury Cup Regatta: May 17-18
🚣 Independence Day Regatta: June 28-30
🚣 Philadelphia Youth Regatta: July 20
🚣 Head of the Schuylkill Regatta: October 26-27

11/15/23 PM - EL SMELLS SIGHTS SOUNDS - Taking the EL @ 15th street is the worst. EL was delayed with no announcements, crowded when it arrived, got on EL & it was SRO till 69th street. Not much to report other than I stood the whole trip. W/W = 3. When I exited the car there was 1 5-0 unigormed officer with back to riders looking out to where the busses are & saying to someone in his radio - “
I cannot see you - I do not have my glasses on “. Well he is going to be a big help in enforcing the SEPTA law.
