The Look Listen

Quite possibly our favorite part of the current show, these are Jake and Matt’s micro-chipped monkey heads. Each head is cast in plaster and uniquely sports it’s own piece of repurposed motherboard. These catacomb-like assemblages are a motif for the evolution of humankind; we’ve embraced and evolved with tech over the past few decades but at the end of the day we’re all still primates. Bruce Tatem aka will be coming by the gallery tomorrow (Sunday, Oct 22) from 12-2. Get the inside scoop on his art making process and some fun stories behind his most prized creations.

This exhibition has been a blast and we appreciate all those who have had a chance to come out!

Bruce Tatem - - has taken over The Look Listen gallery with over 100 of his intricate, stylish and imaginative works on curved wood.

You’ll expectedly find designs tied to the biggest baseball stars, but this collection runs deep - from Bruce Lee to MF Doom, SpongeBob to Rocky, and even a clever Gone Fishin’ theme that will certainly be a crowd favorite.

For this exhibition, The Look Listen teamed up with , the supreme king bat maker used by countless MLB players. They’ve stocked the gallery with some of their cherished game-used custom bats and give an inside look at the bat making process.

Join us on Saturday October 7 for a rocking reception, from 6-9pm.

The exhibition will be on view through October 27.
