Beginners and Advanced welcome! Best Kids program in the city 🙇🙇‍♀️🥷

Confidence changes everything ❤️

Hearing that a child walks a little taller, speaks up for themselves more, and feels safer navigating everyday life means more to us than any medal ever could.

We’re grateful for the families who trust our coaches to help guide their kids both on and off the mats.

If you’ve been thinking about getting your child involved in jiu jitsu, now is the perfect time to start 🥋

One of the best parts of building this gym has been seeing the kind of people it brings through our doors.

Parents. Entrepreneurs. Creatives. People building meaningful things on and off the mats.

Chris is one of them.

He’s a a coach and parent here at SAS Philly, trains with us, and recently launched Good Morning Philly, a free weekly newsletter that makes it easier to stay connected to what’s happening around the city.

Restaurant openings.
Neighborhood events.
Local updates.
School reminders.
Things to do.
The kind of Philly updates you’re usually hearing about after the fact.

It’s quick to read, completely free, and already has 1,200+ Philly readers.

Building something from scratch takes a lot, and we’ll always support people in our community creating good things.

If you live in Philly and want an easier way to stay connected to what’s happening here, subscribe to and give them a follow.

And if you’re already subscribed, let us know below ☕️

Most people wait until they feel ready.

These two didn’t.

Last weekend, two of our students signed up to test themselves at , and they both showed exactly what our team is about: courage, growth, and showing up when it’s uncomfortable.

Our Mat Monster, .leggieri stepped on the mats and walked away with 3rd place in Gi and 2nd place in No-Gi 🥉🥈

And our very own entered her very first tournament and earned 2nd place in Gi 🥈

But the real victory was having the courage to register, to prepare, and to step onto a mat where there are no excuses and nowhere to hide.

That kind of confidence doesn’t come from talking about growth. It comes from living it.

Proud of both of you for representing our team. Who’s next? 👀🔥

Big weekend at .

Kids showed up, adults showed up, and the whole team delivered.

But what stands out more is how it happened. Teammates coaching between matches. Kids stepping up with composure beyond their years. Adults embracing the grind, match after match.

🥇 Team Gold for our Little Lions and Mat Monsters
🥇 Team Gold for our Adults

This wasn’t just our gym, it was the strength of the whole team. Alongside our family at , , and , this result reflects something bigger than any one academy. Shared standards. Shared work. Shared belief in the process.

Proud of everyone who competed. Proud of how we carry ourselves on and off the mats.

Back to work! 🧪

Huge thank you to and .j.mathew for an incredible International Women’s Day seminar this weekend. The level of detail, problem-solving, and perspective they brought to the room gave everyone a lot to take back to their own training.

We’re grateful to have instructors like this helping push the standard of what jiu-jitsu teaching can look like. Thoughtful, technical, and generous with their knowledge.

Thank you to everyone who came out, asked questions, drilled hard, and helped make it a great day on the mats.

And thank you to for partnering with us and for the work they do to support and elevate women in jiu-jitsu. We’re proud to collaborate and bring events like this to Philly.
