The Fundamental Skillsets of these 5th & 6th Graders have been earned by being in the gym together regularly for the past two years! 🗓️

It’s also very fun to watch those skillsets in action on the Zero Gravity Basketball Circuit and have an awesome opportunity prepare for the upcoming winter season! ❄️🏀

Shout Out to the amazing Professor Hoops Families that support and cheer for their son’s teammates just as much as they do for their own kid! 🎓🏀❤️

Building the Foundation, One Small Dribble at a Time 🏀🎓

At Professor Hoops, we see kids walk into the gym at five years old who can only manage one or two bounces before scooping the ball up with both hands and running…

Our goal is simply to meet them at their level and treat their development with as much care and attention as we would any high-school player. Within minutes, they are engaged, and by the time they leave, they are dribbling continuously with either hand 💯

We focus heavily on gross motor movement and footwork—helping bridge that connection from the brain all the way down to the toes, which we've found is foundational for young athletes. It is amazing to watch their coordination grow 😎

While it's just about the fun and fundamentals right now, we sometimes joke that if there were a five-to-seven-year-old league, this group would certainly dominate 💪

The best part of it all is how excited they are to return. Nothing makes me happier as a coach than a parent telling me their child ran straight to the driveway after a clinic, eager to proudly teach mom or dad what they just learned ❤️

We feel genuinely fortunate to work with athletes at all stages—from those in the thick of their competitive careers to helping set the early foundation for the next generation of players. It is a privilege to watch their progress unfold 🙏

During this upcoming winter season, you will be able to witness which kids have been spending time in the gym with Professor hoops 👀
