ICYMI: Registration for our 2022 Summer Ballet School is now open!
Summer Ballet School is a program for beginner and intermediate students ages 4-12. This program occurs in the late afternoon/evening.
Children's Division students have ballet class twice per week and Lower Division students have classes five days per week with a variety of classes.
Please note: Students currently enrolled do not need to audition for Summer Ballet School.

Today is World Piano Day! 🎹 Celebrated on the 88th day of the year, which is the same as the number of keys on the piano. We would like to show our appreciation for our accompanists who play an important role in every student's classical ballet training and provide a musical foundation in the studio. It’s Opening Night! We are so excited for our Studio Company Dancers performing this weekend in Ballet Arizona’s production of All Balanchine at Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix! Three of Balanchine’s masterpieces in one magical evening: The romantic Serenade, the jazzy Slaughter on Tenth Avenue and Bourrée Fantasque, an Arizona premiere.

Did you know that our Adaptive Dance for Down Syndrome program is based on the successful program at Boston Ballet? The class environment is sensitive to the needs of students with Down Syndrome while nurturing their self-expression and developing their movement, social, and rhythmic skills. Happy birthday to School of Ballet Arizona Jazz Instructor, Lisa Hammond!🥳🎂
Lisa grew up dancing in Phoenix at Tempe Dance Academy under the direction of Tammy Manville Booth, Wanda Manville and Lauri Silvestri. She received her BFA in Dance from the University of Arizona. She has danced for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. In addition to performing across the United States, she has also performed in Scotland and England with Scorpius Dance Theatre.
Lisa has taught at several studios around the valley and is currently a featured dancer with Scorpius Dance Theatre, the Dance Department director at New School for the Arts and Academics as well as the Co-Artistic Director for Desert Star Dance Academy.

Did you know that our Studio Company members are selected from attendees of the Summer Intensive?
We are now accepting late auditions to the 2022 Summer Intensive on a rolling basis! Once registered for a late audition, the School will contact you with a time to come in and take a placement class. Video auditions are also accepted. Deadline to register: April 15.
-Audition Fee is $35.
-Pre-registration is required, including a headshot photo and a full body photo in first arabesque.
-Masks are optional for all students and faculty.
Students for the Children’s & Lower Division Summer Ballet School can also register for a late audition until May 22!

Did you know that we offer an open Flamenco class?
Flamenco continues to evolve as an art form that was created in Southern Spain combining multiple cultures and traditions through song, dance, and musicianship.
Flamenco class time: Saturday's from 9-10 AM.
Class Attire: Workout top with leggings, a Flamenco skirt (highly suggested but optional.)
Shoes: Character or Flamenco
Levels: Intro to beginner.
