✨✨This is what being a true student is all about! The willingness to learn and grow even if it’s challenging. By exposing yourself and letting yourself go to just do it, this will help you progress even faster, help you succeed, and improve not only in your dance but also in life and it’s challenges!

Shine On2 with Jewel: Ladies Salsa Class on WED’s

Fun class last Wednesday! Here we danced to a slow chill song: Gracias Te Doy by Maite Hontele (*I don’t own the rights to this music) and we also danced to a faster music... *next post

Why do I have an all levels dance class? & also encourage dancers to dance, even if they’re not all in the same level? Because just like... playing sports, you will never get better at the sport unless you are playing someone better than you.

Doing so, challenges you to think outside of yourself. To do better, to push yourself to your limits, even if you struggle. It’s the effort, the grind, the openness to put yourself out there, to be humble- it’s the student within you that’s willing to learn can truly make the difference. If you simply keep doing what you do, stay where you are at, -there will not be any changes or improvements to your skill or artistry. That’s why persistence and consistency is key!

In my class, I always encourage others to learn to dance, no matter what level they’re at. You can always, focus on the footwork, the timing, working on your memory, the body movement, the styling and or the whole work of it all! It’s simply like learning a new language, it takes time, energy, studying, practice, implementation, to be able speak it or be fluent at it. Same goes with dancing. So don’t get discouraged, start now, know where you are at and just go for it! It’s fun learning, having a healthy lifestyle in dancing, playing, agreeing to the challenge and also laughing at your own mistakes. You won’t regret it! & Everyone is learning and the crazy part is, you’ll start noticing improvements day in and day out! 😉 Also there’s no pressure in my dance class. 💕 We dance because we love it!
