This is the average reaction from anyone who gets to shoot the TAC-501. Should we invite back out for another range day?

Do you think the old adage on magnification: "10x for 1000 yards" feels oversimplified? What magnification do you feel most comfortable with past 6-800 yards?

Why don't lightweight hunting setups work very well as long-range learning platforms?

🔴 Weight: Rifles built for easy carrying are typically harder to manage recoil.
🔴 Barrel Profile: Thin, lightweight hunting barrels heat up quickly, affecting accuracy.
🔴 Stocks: Dedicated long-range builds with highly adjustable stocks and chassis foster precision.

Can you think of a setup that does reasonably well in both worlds?

Surgical accuracy is built into the TAC-501, and the path to shooter precision has been paved.

To ethically harvest game at long range, you need to have done your homework:
🔵 Train extensively with a target that matches your game's vitals at your intended range.
🔵 Shoot in bad weather; you rarely find that trophy bull in perfect conditions.
🔵 Get fit and get used to shooting under cardiovascular exertion.

What did we miss?

“I believe that I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make it very certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us.” - Franklin D. Roosevelt, December 8, 1941.

Today, we remember the 2,343 killed, 1,272 wounded, and 960 left missing in the wake of the unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor. We also recognize the determination with which the U.S. prosecuted the war against those who sought to extinguish liberty.

Meet your new best shooting buddy: the DRC Range Bucket. Stash mags, police brass, and safely store the tools you need at the range.

Avoid flimsy, poorly constructed alternatives and go with something intentionally overbuilt.

When you're done eating too much turkey, remember how much there is to be grateful for.

We're grateful for the freedoms afforded us by this great country, the men and women who protect those freedoms, and every one of our friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving from Dillon Rifle Company.

What are your thoughts on breaking in barrels and cleaning procedures? Do you follow a stringent break-in procedure, or do you usually just shoot the gun and clean it as necessary? Drop your opinion in the comments, and let's have a discussion.

If you guessed that snipers hold a special place in our hearts, you'd be correct, but today is about the incredible courage it takes for every man and woman who raised their hand and served our great nation.

Thank you to all those who proved they believed in something larger than themselves. Happy Veterans Day from Dillon Rifle Company.

Challenges like disabling large vehicles, detonating standoff munitions, or making precise shots with a .50 BMG call for an absolute beast, and the TAC-501 is here to fill the position.

Often, the simple things in life bring the most joy.

A crisp breeze on an Autumn afternoon, the love of a good dog, and the massive report of your TAC 501 as it sends 750 grains hurtling towards your target.

We've all experienced waiting for a suppressor to cool down enough to store it and head home from the range. But often, that wait can be extremely time-consuming, especially if you are a bit trigger-happy.

Our Jalapeno solves this issue... and then some! Originally designed for the M134D, this thing can really handle the heat. No more car seat burns, leg scars, or ruined rifle cases!
