Help me wish one of The Unit aces and Day 1’s Coach Ducc Happy Birthday. Thanks for rocking on this journey with me, all these boys and all the families. We’ve spent some hours in them planes, gas on them cars and nights in them hotel rooms. We’ve traveled the country from San Diego to Dallas to Miami to Tampa to Orlando to San Francisco to Delaware to Washington DC plus many more places; I would change a thing big dawg. Prayers need. One of our tackle kids was injured this weekend. Thankfully no head trauma or life threatening injuries however, one of his legs was crushed pretty good by the golf cart causing extreme loss of blood, broken bones in his ankle/foot and severe exposure to the bone. His family and friends are by his side as he prepares for another surgery and recovery.

Please send prayers up for this young man, his family and the medical staff watching over him.

Tampa Florida snaps. Blessed and thankful the families found a way to make it happen for these boys. Love watching everyone bond and hang off the field. Team dinners, days out on the town and chilling at the beach never gets old.

We don’t take Championship Sunday for granted. We have been on the other side of the coin but it feels good to stand on the podium at the end. This was one of the most competitive tourneys we’ve played in, every team had super athletes and almost every team had a QB that could flat out spin it. Finishing #1 out of 36 teams in pool play on Sat and then lifting the trophy undefeated on Sunday is a blessing. Shot out to all the teams and families from this past weekend. Until next time. 💯

14U National Champions🏆! The debate is officially over “again”. This is not up for discussion and we ain’t listening to anyone talking about “o you didn’t play or come play us”. We’ve been across the country and have shown we are The Number One 14U team in the Country. If you can’t win in Arizona just know all roads lead through Arizona and we will go hunt. 7v7 Shock Doc Champions on deck🏆. Boys had an amazing showing in Dallas this past weekend at the 7v7 tourney. They say everything is big in TX and it was big cold 🥶 out there. I’m talking like 30-40 degrees cold, but all teams had to play through it. There can only be 1 team standing on the podium, blessed to coach them boys.

Our defense didn’t give up a touchdown to the 940 team from Texas who scored 119 points the day before in pool play. In fact they, never even got in the Red Zone. No exaggeration when I say, that team had 2-3 kids that were legit 6’4👀 and athletic as heck. Super solid squad tho.

Champions🏆! Boys were back at it again this weekend winning the 12U division in the Regional. They also played in the 14U division but fell short by a score. Couldn’t be more proud of them for playing a total of 12 games this weekend and still giving it there all to the last play.

It takes a village. I wanted to take a min to show love to a few of my guys. Please help me thank a few of the gentlemen who are helping kraft some great young men. If you know them or have been coached by them show them on love here please🙏🏽.

Coach D.Smith aka Ducc: has been rocking w/ me for a few years now and is my side kick; he ran a very respectable team called . He was willing to step away from his brand to join forces with us. Coach Ducc continues to lean in w/ all of our boys and is that voice the boys look to hear, especially after I get on their butts. His classic line is “Stay off my quarterback”; that his line to me when I get on my son Titus who is our quarterback. Thank you for always showing up for the boys and sacrificing your time and hard earned money to go on this amazing journey with all of us. Together we’ve traveled the country w/ our boys and families from Cali to Washington D.C.; but we ain’t done yet.

Coach LaBrunt aka Coach Boog: has been a close friend of mine for 5 yrs and has been rocking w/ us since we were G.Unit. Boog is that Coach that picks 3 other kids that live 45 min out the way to get them to practices and games. I’ve witnessed Boog rent hotel rms for athletes when we’re out of town, feed them and even give them spending cash rt out of his pocket. Not once has he asked for anything in return, not once. The only thing he asks from our athletes is for them to focus at practice and give us all they got in games. I love how Boog stops kids during practice to correct them and holds them accountable.

Coach Torrie Walker: has been rocking w/us for a few months but it feels like yrs. Coach Torrie also ran a very respectable org called the AZ Kings and he has had a tremendous impact on a ton of AZ athletes. All of those athletes are spread out across the valley and shinning on 10 to 15 different teams. Every tourney we play in I’m amazed by the love Torrie receives from past players and parents. It’s shows the impression this man has made on peoples lives. Coach tells the kids “Everything thing we do, we do to be Great”. The Unit is blessed to have such a strong great leader with us.

Our boys have seen both the highs and the lows this season playing up against 14 and 15 yr old athletes. However, the adversity they are facing is only making them stronger and more equip to weather whatever storm. 3 tournaments and only 3 losses fellas, continue to trust each other and the process. Salute to those committed and with it, we are up for the challenge💪🏽.

Battle Miami was a good one. The expectations at The Unit is to get better and win no doubt. However, there’s going to be growing pains to get to where we want to be.

I’m stressing to our boys we’ve lost 2 games since moving up and playing in the MS division. We have all 12U boys plus 3 14U boys and we’ve only dropped 2 games, (both of those games fall on the coach). We are good fellas, let’s stay the course and keep pulling each other along. Excited for the future.

Champs 🏆!!! What a first weekend full of 7on7 football. The Unit had 4 teams out repping this weekend at the MLK Day tournament.

Our Middle School National team made up of 2 6th graders, 11 7th graders and 3 8th graders banged with 14/15 yr olds all weekend with NO backdown. Boys battled all weekend with most of them playing 15 total games between 2 divisions. A lot of ppl didn’t see this team making it far in the playoffs however these boys won 4 games against some known hitters to get to the Championship but lost by 7. We couldn’t be anymore proud of them and what they showed this weekend.

The 12U boys were crowned Champions winning big in the Championship 35-7.

Our Fresh and Middle School Regional team got knocked out in the first round however, these two teams have rosters that are primed to make some noise this season.

Excited for all of these teams future in this 7on7 game.

Merry (Christ)-Mas. A few days ago about 40 Unit family members had one of the most powerful, memorable and fun experiences ever. We had the opportunity to pack meals together at (Feed My Starving Children). This is a non-profit organization with 8 locations across the country. All they do is pack small “MannaPack” meals everyday for starving children and ship them all over the world. We spent an hour and half packing meals not knowing what part of the world they were going to be sent.

We learned that some of the kids who get these meals possibly haven’t eaten for days; we watched a video of a small child who nutritionally benefited so much from one of these meal packs that it literally saved his life. We learned that one of these small packs of food has a total of 6 meals in it, that it only takes a total of $88 to feed one child for an entire year and that through our volunteering efforts we feed a total of 43 kids for a year.

One of the coolest things about what we did the other day was praying over the food before it was shipped out. In the last picture, a young girl roughly 8-10 yrs old prayed over the food in front of almost 50 people. It was so heart warming and priceless.

As our kids and family members enjoy opening gifts tomorrow and sitting down to a table full of food we won’t eat ever bite of; let us not forget about all of the starting children across the world who won’t be eating at all. Let us not over cook and waste food, let us not allow our kids to pout about eating what’s on their plate; and lastly let us NOT forget what this Holiday is all about. All of us are here only b/c of the big man up stairs “Christ”.

Thank you for setting this up for The Unit families. This was the perfect holiday gift for all of us.

The Unit 2021 7on7 end of year banquet was amazing and a huge success for my 12U National Team. We finally had a chance to celebrate the boys multiple National Championships and put the 2021 season in the books.

The Unit is different, we’re trend setters, we move how we move and we find ways to make our boys feel special. This year I honored our boys with a year book full of season pics and their fresh new custom Lettermen’s jackets 🤯🤯🥶🥶. These jackets are something I wanted the boys to have and wear with pride, I wanted them to always remember what they achieved together as a Unit. We will be adding patches to their sleeves this week representing their 2021 accomplishments. Ain’t NOOOObody doing it like this🤷🏽‍♂️.

Thank you to all of the parent for your financial sacrifices and commitments to what we do. Thank you for believing in me as a coach and allowing me to lean in with your athletes. It takes a village and there’s way more to The Unit than what happens on the field. All of our parents find ways to help when and where they can, for that I am thankful🙏🏽. And big shot out to my side kick Coach Ducc, thanks for rocking with me and always keeping me in pocket. And of course and huge thank you to my wife for allowing me to be crazy about this youth football journey for our boys and their teammates, I couldn’t do all this without your support💚.

2022 7on7 tryouts were last Friday and invites should be sent out tonight for our teams. Excited to get this next season going.
