Looking for some feedback and ideas. Every holiday season (November-right before Christmas) we do a 6 week challenge to encourage members/clients to stay on track with their fitness routine offering tips weekly, special workouts just for those that sign up for the course and almost daily interaction. We have called it On Target for the Holidays Challenge in the past but were looking for other name options for this. Any other thoughts? Anything else that you think we could add to make it even more unique?
I was thinking of you today, and thought I'd send a hug your way. I hope you have followed thru on your plans for extensive self-lavishing and spoiling (okay, even bits here and there will work wonders). I've missed your posts.

I am recovering from the mindset that I have to have the end figured out before I start.

Two weeks ago I made a big jump in my virtual fitness business to narrowing my niche...like a LOT!

I have all sorts of questions like “What happens if I get bored or realize I don’t know as much as I need to on this topic?” and “How do I not alienate the rest of my email list?”

But I am MORE motivated by growing faster than by being perfect or having an airtight plan.

You’ll also be hearing me talk more about niching down (especially if you’re trying to attract customers online) as I experiment with it and dig deeper into finding success within a narrow niche.

Have you narrowed your focus any since moving into virtual offerings?

Getting into a rhythm is more important than landing on a magic number. What are you finding manageable these days?

I try to post to YouTube once a week for my fitness community and once a week for my instructor community (although crazy slow internet at the new place is cramping that style—working on a solution), Pinterest 8-10x/day (I know, I know, but when I say that please understand it’s a virtual assistant scheduling it all out on my behalf once a week), about 5 days a week on this IG channel, and I wasn’t giving myself a goal on my fitness IG account because it was contributing so little to my website traffic but just started this week on a 30 Reels in 30 Days challenge to help jumpstart my new niche experiment.

What’s your goal and what’s your reality?

Can we chat? I’m struggling a little bit lately with social media.

It’s always my goal to improve upon the silence if I’m going to ask for your precious attention. Our time is so, so limited and it feels wrong to waste yours with content that’s just attention-seeking rather than value-adding.

Yet it seems like the things the algorithms reward right now are entertainment-driven sound bites. (Or is it just me? I tend to be on the introverted/reflective side as a fitness instructor.)

Or maybe it just doesn’t feel like ME to force myself into the content trend of the day. And yet...distribution matters. Staying on top of the features and best practices allows us to maximize our reach...but I still think reach without impact is meaningless.

So I truly want to ask you...what kinds of content are most helpful to YOU? What makes your life better and easier as a fitness instructor, but also as a human being?

At the end of the day, this account is about YOU, not me. I’d rather speak the right words to a few than the wrong words to the masses. Let’s chat!

I firmly believe that structure makes the world go round—in our businesses, our homes, and our health!

The rest-day dilemma.

Do I use it for active recovery (when else am I supposed to do breathwork, stretching, foam rolling, and all the things?) Or do I actually get to have an extra 45 minutes of my life to be productive?

I rarely take full recovery days but today I chose to be productive with the extra time. :)

Feeling beyond blessed to have spent this week with this delightful human as we dreamed up new ways to help you shine through @fitbizclub.

First, I already knew this but just want to shout out what an unbelievably kind and genuine friend, mentor, and leader @laurengeorgefitness is. She’s the real deal, and such a shining example that nice guys (or gals) finish first.

Secondly, on that note, I just want to say how grateful I am to be surrounded by an army of people doing it right. Say what you want about the fitness industry being competitive and cutthroat. The fitness community I know is loving, supportive, empowering, and part of a movement to make the world a better place.

Keep doing the right thing. Cheering others on. Being helpful. Creating a fitness culture that cares. We are stronger together, and if you believe that you are welcome in our crew all day long!

But as humans we are wired for community (even us introverted homebodies), and as group fitness instructors I think we understand that on a fundamental level.

I’m lightening up and it feels so good!

From warm-weather clothes here in sunny AZ, to putting a dent in the boxes we’ve been unpacking from the move, to finally cooking healthy meals again (after 3 months of living with the in-laws between houses), to getting some hormones straightened out with my doctor that are helping to physically lighten me up on my way back to my normal self...spring’s transition into summer feels like the right time to shed anything heavy.

Now if you know me, I am ANTI-deprivation and against harsh cleanses or extreme plans—they just don’t work psychologically and they don’t feel good so what’s the point?

I’m way more concerned about putting good stuff IN (like lots of plants) and getting whatever movement feels right to my body at that particular season.
