Sonoma for the week. Raining off and on every day. I still managed to get in a 5 mile hike, hot yoga, 15 mile bike ride, car camping and many sips of wine and old fashions.

Muscle and Motion

Deadlift the right way!

Starting position: The bar is above the feet, close to the shin bone. The shoulders are slightly in front of the bar.

Pulling the bar close to the body requires assistance and stabilization by the latissimus dorsi. Keep the core muscles activated and the back straight.

The deadlift can be divided into two stages. 1️⃣2️⃣

The first stage:
1️⃣Lifting the bar to knee level.
This is done mainly through knee extension.
The trunk remains in a forward-leaning position.

The second stage:
2️⃣Full extension of the hip and the knee until the body is fully straightened.

In this video, we can see a common mistake which many people are doing.

Throughout the exercise, keep the back in a neutral position.
Even when we bend down, we will keep the same back position as when we are standing erect!

In this position, the core muscles work together with the greatest efficacy, and protect the spine‼️

No filter. Still maintaining weight with a 6 lb fluctuation after 7 years. Workout 30-50 minutes, three days a week. Add yoga, bike riding, hiking and swimming for fun. Eat clean 80 percent of the time. Simple life style.

People ask me what I do for fun. Yoga pool side with is what I call fun! 80's music. Girls dressed in 80's tights, people jumping in the pool to cool off during class, booties bouncing in downward dog, joing hands with over 40 people to form one balance of community in that moment. And as we lay in savasana under the full moon in the changing soft colors on the Sky Rise balconies I was inspired to let go of what I don't like most about myself. From this day forth I will no longer hold myself to a standard of higher education than what I already have. From this day forth I am totally comfortable with the level of education and experience I have.


Power outage. Already sweating my ass off so... I dug this out of the closet. Who remembers this bad ass, ass kicker? 3 times through babe!

Made it to the summit of Chimney Mountain in Sedona. So thankful that I am physically able to do what I do. It wasn't easy but I did it! How many people visit Sedona and can't get out and really see it? Where are you at with your half way point in the year?


About to kill it! 20 miles minimum in less than an hour because I usually get bored...
