The energy of death always brings gifts. One of those is dreams.
When I was in the void - my postpartum coach identity dying, no clarity on what came next - a deer appeared in my dreams. Not with answers. With medicine.
đŚThe deer has played the same role across myth and story for millennia: transforming hunters into receivers, shifting us from forced finding to unexpected discovery.
This is what dreams do during identity death: They donât solve the void. They teach you how to move through it. They speak the language your ego canât argue with.
When something dies in you, your ego quiets (if you know how to work with the energy of the ending).
Your soul finally has space to speak. And it speaks loudest through dreams.
If youâre in this process right now: write them down. Donât try to solve them. Let them guide you from hunting to receiving.

đŚđżOur 12-week group program is open - we are your identity death doulas guiding you through shamanic journeying, dream work, and the sacred art of coming undone.
âŚYour ego will panic. Your soul knows the way.

Iâve been a manager for almost 6 years. Thought I was fair. Maybe strict â but fair. Rules are rules, right?
Thatâs what I told myself last week when I fired one of my employees, Celia.
Her third tardy this month. Three strikes = termination. Simple.
She didnât argue, just nodded, grabbed her bag, and left.
Later that day, I overheard two coworkers whispering:
âDid you hear about Celiaâs son?â
âYeah⌠sheâs been sleeping in her car with him.â
My stomach dropped.
Turns out sheâd been evicted. No family nearby. No support. Shelters full.
Those âtardiesâ? She was driving across town so her 6-year-old could shower at a church before school â so he wouldnât be teased.
And I fired her for it.
I didnât sleep that night. The next morning, I called. Texted. Nothing.
After hours of searching, I finally found her car parked behind a grocery store. Her little boy was curled up under a blanket in the back seat.
I knocked. She looked up â tired, scared.
âI came to give you your job back,â I said quietly.
âBut more than that⌠I came because I shouldâve listened. And I want to help.â
That moment changed everything for me.
Being a manager isnât just about enforcing rules.
Itâs about understanding the people behind them.
Celia didnât need discipline.
She needed compassion. â¤ď¸

Hearing her voice in this book today, the day of her passing, is grounding me.
Remember that you get to choose the input into your mind.
I love you, Jane Goodall.
Thank you.

When I was pregnant with my fourth baby (and it was such a stretch for us to have one more, but we chose to) â I remember being terrified of postpartum depression.
Even though I have tools, and Iâve done so much healing, I just know how deep depression can go.
So I was hustling, trying to create a nest egg of money so I could pay for a postpartum doula, and house cleaning, Hello Fresh, and all the other nice things we want when weâre postpartum.
But as I tuned into Spirit, I really felt this shift: âmanifest community.â
I was manifesting money, and the Universe said: manifest community.
To me it sounded boring, and money sounded so shiny. But I made the shift.
This eventually led me to , and I dove all the way in to this form of wealth: community.
Community is true wealth.
The longest longitudinal study that exists on earth, by Harvard, on happiness tells us that the #1 predictor of our happiness is the QUALITY of our relationships.
People will always âpeopleâ. There will be fallout, misunderstandings, and hurt feelings.
And also: there are lifetime friends out there to be found. There are REAL, honest and fruitful relationships you can have, and it can truly make you feel like your life is so wealthy and abundant.
My biggest healing part of and other communities Iâve become a part of over the years is: being seen as I truly am. And having practice and being who I really am on the inside.
The journey of a lifetime is the journey back to your Self. The one that was in there before all of the programming, insecurities, self-protecting mechanisms, and the false projections of others onto your identity.
Be YOU. And if you need help, join a community that helps you remember, and return to yourself.
Xoxoxo,
Love
Lizzie
