Have I expresses lately how blessed I am?
I often forget to acknowledge this always busy planning 🧠 a future moment that hasn’t occurred yet.
That’s a common trait of mine. Being present hasn’t been easy. I often have to remember to stop to smell the roses 🌹
I always had excellent work ethic but wasn’t always 100% engaged in what I was creating.
I made the decision in 2017 to leave high salary job as a senior director and candidate for VP with large quarterly bonuses, retirement, 401K, 30 days paid vacation , paid travel, and the list goes on….. 📈📉👨🏻💼🗃🗂
I made the decision to listen to that inner voice , let go and create something I was passionate about with no guarantees of return on investment. 🧠🫀🫁
I studied, studied some more and never knew why I spent many years of gathering information that wasn’t relative to my old career. I was drawn to re understanding anatomy, physiology, chemistry, physics, science, health, mental health, anthropology, history and the list goes on 📚 📖 📕
It’s all connected….. 🌍 🔥 🌬 💧
Taking the inspiration from Wims @iceman_hof message of healthy, happy and strong was what I needed to move forward . I’m grateful to spread his work. He’s doing a great job spreading health awareness through many sources. He’s lifted many through his inspiration and self sacrifice.
This work inspired @jmoreng and I to create a place where people can practice daily taking a proactive approach towards health and finding a like minded community.
Health education is one of the largest gaps I have observed in our society. It’s a problem I am happy to help solve in my community.
It’s so large that it cost taxpayers billions of dollars, investment 💴 for pharmaceutical 💊 companies also billions of dollars in gains, and hundreds of thousands of lives if not millions per year. ☠️
People have no idea how their meet suit works, how to care for it, how to preserve it and how to create optimal conditions for repair… 🧰
The Wim Hof Method is one very effective tool. Not a silver bullet, but a powerful tool that you can never unlearn.
Thanks to everyone that attended. 🥂 to you for taking back responsibility!
During a BRUTAL study at Harvard in the 1950s, Dr. Curt Richter placed rats in a pool of water to test how long they could tread water.
On average they'd give up and sink after 15 minutes.
But right before they gave up due to exhaustion, the researchers would pluck them out, dry them off, let them rest for a few minutes - and put them back in for a second round.
In this second try - how long do you think they lasted? 🤔
Remember - they had just swam until failure only a few short minutes ago...
How long do you think?
Another 15 minutes?
60 hours! 😳
That's not an error. 🤷🏼♀️
That's right! 60 hours of swimming.
The conclusion drawn was that since the rats BELIEVED that they would eventually be rescued, they could push their bodies way past what they previously thought impossible.
I will leave you with this thought:
If hope can cause exhausted rats to swim for that long, what could a belief in yourself and your abilities, do for you?
🏮Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate a microscopic cellular component that lives in almost every human cell called the mitochondria.
🏮Red light therapy is used for a variety of reasons, including managing chronic pain, improving sleep quality, healing wounds, improving skin quality, and treating arthritis.
In 2001, NASA-sponsored researchers published an important study, building both on the earlier incidental findings during the experiment using red light on plants and on research covering US Navy SEALs use of red light therapy to enhance wound healing. The NASA-sponsored research not only showed that red light therapy was effective in increasing the speed of wound healing, but also explained that US Navy SEALs had been found to experience wound healing that was 40% faster than normal. Article by @mito_red_light
I use RLT and NIR daily to keep my cells producing adequate energy 🔋, keep my skin youthful , inflammation down and hormones balanced.I increased my blood testosterone levels >200 points with daily use. 😉 👍🏽🚀

Want to THRIVE in uncomfortable situations?
On today’s show, I chat with Michael Roviello, cofounder of Optimyze – a human optimization center that combines ancient wisdom with cutting-edge wellness technology to bring you back to your roots.
Michael holds master’s degrees in both business administration and education.
Prior to his academic work, he had a career in the U.S Navy during which he was deployed around the globe as a helicopter rescue swimmer, combat search and rescue crewman, and anti-submarine warfare operator. Injuries sustained during this time led him on a journey to re-discover how we can take responsibility for our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
After declining a professional recommendation for a second cervical surgery, Michael explored alternative methods seeking solutions to his chronic pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and neurological issues. His journey led him to discover the Wim Hof Method, a method that has resulted in pain management, improved sleep, decreased inflammation, clarity, peace of mind, energy and resilience.
Cold Water Therapy is a tool that will train you to “embrace the suck” – something all doc students could use!
Benefits of cold water therapy
1. Powerful anti-inflammatory
2. Promotes circulation
3. Metabolic benefits
4. Better adaptation to stress
5. Enhances cognitive functioning
6. Improves resiliency
7. Facilitates positive emotions
8. Immediately brings you into the present
How to do practice cold water therapy
1. Turn water to cold at the end of your shower
2. Allow water to hit your back
3. Close your eyes
4. Focus on your breath and SLOW it down– breathe in through your nose and expand your exhale
5. LET GO – use a repetitive statement like a mantra (I am strong, I am powerful, I am confident, I am safe, I am smart, etc.) or prayer
6. Start small 10-30 second and work up to 2 minutes
My favorite way is an ice bath at OPTIMYZE: https://www.optimyze.me/

This breath can also be recognized as pranayama. The benefits can be massive for stress and anxiety.
Through diaphragmatic breathing and extended exhale we can lower our fight or flight response and become more clear headed.
The holds allow us to be familiar with the feeling of CO2 and stress in the body and that we can survive the storm of feeling or emotion.
🛋 Seated or lying
👃 Nasal breathing only
