bars are an excellent way to fill your nutrient gaps between meals. They are also convenient and they are quick and portable. There are so many bars on the market and most are terribly imbalanced. These are two plant based bars that are fairly balanced and don't taste like dry dirt. Our guidelines are:
🔹Look at the macronutrients and not just calories.
🔹There should be ideally 1.5 grams protein for every gram of fat. The GOL bar has double the protein than fat; the NuGo bar has 2.4 times the protein.
🔹You want some natural . Between 4-10 grams is appropriate.
🔹We don't normally focus on sugar grams because we believe in making all foods fit.
But if you want to keep your added sugars low, look for a bar that has more fiber than added sugar grams. Some bars have a high sugar content but it's natural sugar. Rx Bars are a good example of that.

They are kind of low in protein, but one of my favorites is the RX Bar.
