Is there a version of the ebooks, like all of them that can be purchased, even though they are being updated. I'm a student of Wing Chun since 1996, but I could use some help. I've used some AWCA products before. Thank you.
2017 is going to be a great year for the AWCA. I've already filmed over 25 new videos for our YouTube channel and now I'm just editing for posting. Check out our post for those wanting to get involved with Wing Tsun/Wing Chun and let me know if you have any questions about training.
Dear Sir: I 've been searching for a "Wing Chun" kwoon in the Phoenix area without to much success. Are you located in the metro area??? I await your reply anxiously and wish you a blessed day. Do you know if Augustine Fong is still in Tucson?? He was there years ago. Sincerely, Johnny D. Federico
Season's Greetings to all from Houston. IWishing all of you a wonderful Christmas and a very happy and successful New Year!

Hey I was just wanting to let you all know that I have started a school in Scottsdale at Mountain View Karate Scottsdale. If anyone wants to train Wing Tsun, message me. I'd love to have a great group of enthusiastic students!
Ip Man was born on this day in 1893. His contributions to the Martial Arts, and to Wing Chun will never be forgotten.
Something interesting....

Have you seen this?

WordFence (our site IP registration and blocking plugin) did its job and blocked two brute force attempts this morning (over 30,000 attempts in less than an hour). In the process, though, WordFence reached its target max and closed the site to all traffic. I've just blocked the IPs causing the attack and re-opened the site.

If you were not able to reach the site earlier, you should be good now, and my apologies for the inconvenience (but admittedly, it's stinkin' cool knowing for a fact that the site's protected. I've done LOTS of testing over the past year to simulate brute force attacks, and WordFence did the same thing. It's good to see it working in real-life, too).

AWCA’s channel reached 500 subscribers yesterday. More videos are coming, so thanks!

I saw this on LinkedIn (source cited). If you really think what you eat doesn’t matter, maybe this will give you pause to reconsider.

One last one before the final. A few before’s and afters. Some trim, painting and cleanup left, and that’s that.

Drywall, ceiling, doors and hardware finally delivered. I’m ready to be done but still much to do. Say goodbye to the frame, tho. That’s the last time we’ll see it. A full layout will be posted in time, tho, for those that want to build their own.

Photos from Arizona Wing Chun Association's post 01/21/2019

The "ugly" storage, tore down, and the new frame up, ready for drywall. Another week or so and that will be that. The gym will be back and ready for action.

Sorry for the long wait in what's been happening with building storage in the new gym and re-designing the layout. Admittedly, life did what it does sometimes and got the best of me. Construction started and I'm almost to drywall. After that, we put together the new gym layout. I really wanted to post some Facebook Live videos but with just me, that didn't happen. Too many things happening and, to be honest, it just got away from me. But I "did" take lots of pix and I'll be posting those in the next few days to show the before's, the during's, and the after's. I'm almost ready to drywall, though, and while a major project, I'm in the home stretch. More to come very soon!

Got a lot more pages posted but admittedly, "life" did a few twists and turns, so not all online as I planned. Still, the Distance Learning Program enrollment is back, as well as a variety of member pages. It's good to get things going again and more is coming over the next couple of days.

Finally saw what happens when the treadmill hits 100 minutes. The darn thing stops!

Pressed for time packing lunch in the morning? Throw together a quick salad, an apple, orange, some nuts for a snack, and steam veggies for 7 min. Fast, healthy and pretty darn tasty. I steam my veggies with a dash of chili verde garlic lime.

After church and some tasty green chili tamales at AJ's (mmm, that place rocks), I've spent the better part of the last 7 hours uploading DLP videos. I just finished SG9 but admittedly, now I'm bleary-eyed. I think it's time to unplug for the evening, take a good walk around the neighborhood, and plop in front of the couch with a good movie.

Excellent classes the last 2 days focusing on Chi-sau and Lap-sau section 2, plus structural focus on kicking and maintaining stability. Gotta burn those calories before next week’s turkey fest. 😉

Lots of hours spent getting things updated and back online. 20 days to go. We'll be ready and I thrive on deadlines, but I have to admit... I sure wish you could see it right now. Hmmm... could someone be preparing a preview? 😉

Volume 1: Siu-Nim-Tau - AWCAOnline 10/27/2018

Volume 1: Siu-Nim-Tau - AWCAOnline

Just finished re-posting the Volume 1: Siu-Nim-Tau page. For those waiting, that part is back and more is coming (and remember, when our eBooks are finished being converted to the Kindle format, all previously-registered customers get the free upgrade, too!)

Volume 1: Siu-Nim-Tau - AWCAOnline Volume 1: Siu-Nim-Tau is our flagship workbook in the eBook Training Series. But what can this training platform really do for you? Let's take a look at why Volume 1 is one of the most popular and useful learning programs since its inception in 2000.

I almost forgot! To go with the salad, I simply heat up 3 Tablespoons each of black beans and garbanzo beans, mixed with a dash of seasonings. I prefer cilantro jalapeno lime, chili verde and black pepper.

Healthy lunch of mixed greens, cauliflower, zucchini, 1/4 avocado chunked, the juice from a mandarin orange for dressing, the orange chopped up, and sprinkled with some pumpkin seeds. THAT is healthy power food. And your heart will thank you for it.

Almost two full days working on the new site, new videos and new training pages. I have to say that this was a long time coming and I am SO stoked to reach this point. December 1's release can't come soon enough.

Not only only is our website and training pages getting a makeover, but so is the gym. And you’ll see progress along the way while it happens!

I’ll be using our camera system to show what you can do for a garage, a spare room, even a commercial gym to make it all work in your favor with the space you have available.

I’ll also be using Facebook Live along the way and taking you through the journey.

After the website’s done (sooner than I planned... hint, hint) we ring in 2019 with a brand new gym, weekly free videos, intense training sessions, and back to our Video of the Month series.

Don’t just stand there. Grab your hammer. You’re coming with me! (I have an extra tool belt for you. You know how to use that table saw, right?)

Bart-Cham-Dao in the Arizona animal kingdom. 😎

The battle isn’t won in the arena. The battle is won during the thousands of times of training at 3:30am when everyone else is asleep. It’s won because you didn’t give up when everyone else said quit.

Be ready to walk alone, because few to no one will finish who started with you. Eventually all you’ll see is your own shadow, and THAT is where character is built. That’s where it lives. You just have to believe in yourself enough to know you’re worth it.

Sample Student Grade 1 - AWCAOnline

Our new website is coming back nicely. I just posted the sample page of what you would see in our Student Grade 1 training section below, and more is coming. I have to admit that I'm excited to finally make things available again, and trust me, it's fast, efficient and a lot easier to get around. More to come as we keep pushing towards our Dec 1 deadline.

Sample Student Grade 1 - AWCAOnline Below is the actual Student Grade 1 testing page, minus links to videos and resources. Each primary training page also includes an introduction video (included here) to introduce the material and prep you for what is coming.

AWCAOnline 10/06/2018

December 1 countdown for the new AWCAOnline being available. Our main page is now there so get ready folks. I know what's coming and even "I" still think, "Dang, I sure wish all this was there when I was first learning."

AWCAOnline effective. efficient. realistic.

After a few weeks of pushing, I’m finally ready for phase IV. Down 2 lbs in weight but lifted another 5 lbs in curls (30 lb dumbbells), triceps press, 10 lbs bench (50 lb dumbbells), 15 lbs squat (50 lb dumbbels)... 35 reps each for 4 sets. The dummy and heavy bag... well, we’ll address that tomorrow when I can walk again. 😎 Oh, and added another mile and a quarter to the run. That puts me to 8 miles 3 times a week. Not too shabby for 55 yrs old.

In the final stages of getting moved over to the new webhost. Ok, so, having a website since 1993 and moving 25 years of pix and videos is a “little” more involved than I planned. 😎 On the bright side, yesterday was my birthday. Had a birthday rainbow with dinner on the patio.

Next weekend I'm planning on releasing the new AWCAOnline. Still a lot to do before and after the release, but I'm excited for a new webhost that delivers the speed and security needed. I have a lot of things coming, so thanks for your patience while I finish up.

Membership plugins are being activated soon, as well as the theme and other plugins. A few glitches here and there but that's to be expected. I did a lot of prep work to keep it at a minimum and it's paying off in time saved. So, no more updates for now until things are in and ready to go. Again, thanks for your patience while we get things tidied up and back on track.

I am transferring AWCA's domain to a new webhost as of 2:30pm Saturday. It will take 24-48 hours for the domain to transfer, so will not be available until completed. Sorry for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: 3:22pm. The site is now active but our placeholders are there. I am doing the diagnostics on things (pre-arranged) to ensure a smooth transition, but it will still be just a bit before everything's moved over. Remember, AWCAOnline has been out there since 1993, so there are tons of videos, pages, etc., that need to get moved. I've prepped a lot of clean up, though, so it will be cleaner and faster.

I'm very excited about the changes coming and I'm confident you'll like what we've done.

We Did 100 Push-Ups Every Day For 30 Days

It’s always tough to get started, and staying consistent is even tougher. See what happens when 2 ordinary guys accepted the “100 pushups a day for 30 days” challenge. Just pushups, nothing else.

I’ve been WAY out of touch here lately. I’ll be correcting that soon. Many life changing events (all good but time consuming). But I HAVE been focusing on health and fitness along the way.

This morning I hit a new record for me: 85 minutes non-stop combo treadmill, elliptical, Total Gym, wooden dummy and heavy bag. Plus REALLY being dedicated to solid nutrition.

You get one shot at life. Make it worth the ride.

There’s something about a good workout early in the morning before most have even woken up. Those that don’t do it, though, will never understand it. That’s what sets you and I apart from them. We see the value, they don’t. They “say” they do, but they don’t. I’m glad you’re among the few that sees this as YOUR time. No job, no family, no worries. It’s not selfishness; rather, it’s about development and accomplishment. It’s all you. Just you. Now go get it.

Still researching some new hosting options, plus getting the plugin fixed. Seems that it's putting a lot of space between columns, lettering, etc.

Ah, technology. Can't live with it, can't live with it. ;)

But I'll be working on some of this over the next couple of days so hopefully it'll get back to a visually acceptable format quickly.

Website notice update... it appears that my webhost upgraded the SSL certificates, and now there are periodic access issues. A record is opened with them and they are looking into what's what. I would do it myself since I'm pretty sure I know the cause, but since I don't work for them, I don't have access to their servers. How rude. 😎

But they're on it and seeing what's up, so please bare with me while they get things straightened out. Thanks for your patience. And if anyone has suggestions for reliable webhosts, please feel free to let me know. I'm doing research, too, but this has started happening more frequently and, quite honestly, is unacceptable to me. When users have issues accessing their media, I take that personally, so I'm in the market for a new webhost.

Was raining earlier but that’s why a treadmill comes in handy. Doesn’t matter what time of day or the weather, a treadmill in your garage is always ready for you. 45 min jog is a great way to start the day.

My outgoing email settings changed but it isn’t taking the settings. I can receive but not send. For those those wondering why I haven’t replied to your emails, there you go.
