Cub Scout Pack 242 - Phoenix, Arizona

This past Saturday, Pack 242 had our Blue & Gold Banquet. We had a great time celebrating together. We had some great chili, cornbread, and salad. To top everything off, we had a cake-a-thon and amazing cakes. We recognized many awards and two Bobcat Ranks presented. We had some very special creatures that will also be joining us in our March pack meeting. We had the opportunity to recognize our amazing leaders! We would not be able to run our scouting program without the dedication and love of our scouting volunteers.

This past Sunday we celebrated Scout Sunday with our friends at All Saints Lutheran Church. The boys did a great job assisting during the service. We are blessed to have a wonderful church that supports us and gives us the space to offer the scouting program. 🇺🇸⛪️✝️

This past Saturday, Pack 242 participated in the Scouting for Food initiative by the Boy Scouts of America. Pack 242 collected 756 lbs of food! The food was then taken to Mom’s Pantry. A BIG thank you to all the parents, siblings, and scouts that participated in the flyer distribution and donation pickup. 🇺🇸⚜️👍

Pack Christmas 🎄 Party 2019

Cub Scout Pack 242 🇺🇸 had our annual Space Derby 🚀 last Saturday (11-16-19). The scouts and their siblings had a great time. Thank you to all the Den Leaders and parents that made this special event possible

Pack 242 🇺🇸 had our fall campout from 10/26-10/27 at R-C Scout Ranch. We had a great time! The scouts played frisbee golf, learned fire safety/safe campfire making 🔥, wood building skills (craft) and explored Christopher Creek. On Saturday night, we had our campfire program with skits, a story, and a song. We enjoyed some great hot chocolate, apple cider, and s’mores. A BIG thank you to all the Den Leaders and BSA Troop 426 for all your help.

Cubmaster Lambert and a few of our scouts attended Family Sunday School at All Saints. They spoke to the families about how much fun scouting is and invited boys to join. If you know a boy kindergarten to 5th grade who is interested in joining our Pack feel free to send us a private FB message. Thank you!

Pack 242 had the opportunity to partner and serve with All Saints Lutheran Church this past Saturday and helped pack 544 sack lunches for the Phoenix Rescue Mission (done in 45 minutes! 😮) and 1800 bottles of water donated. It was great seeing these boys serve and learn that they helped someone in need.

Lego Brick Derby fun today! Come on out to our 1st Den Meeting on Monday, August 19th at 6:30pm at All Saints Lutheran Church if you’re interested in joining or learning about Cub Scouts.

On July 20th, we had our movie 🎥 🍿 and game♟day at ASLC. Popcorn, lemonade, cookies and otter pops. It was great!!!

A few weeks ago we had our raingutter regatta. Great time racing. After the races we had an epic water ballon fight and otter-pops. 💦 ⛵️

Pack 242 had the honor to place flags 🇺🇸 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona this past Saturday. Very proud of these boys.

Tonight we celebrated Pack 242 crossover. The boys crossed the bridge to their new dens. We also said goodbye to Cubmaster Mike and welcomed our new Cubmaster Lambert. Congratulations to Lambert and the boys! And, thank you Mike!

Our AOL Scouts recently crossed over to their chosen Boy Scout Troops. Congratulations! On to BIG adventures!!

At our latest Pack Meeting our Tigers we’re presented with the Tiger badges. Congratulations!!

Spring Campout at Eagle Ridge, Prescott was filled with fun, games, good chili, Dutch oven desserts and skits by the camp fire.

Very soon this group of boys from our AOL den will be crossing over to their chosen Boy Scout Troops. They’ve worked hard!

Pack 242 Pinewood Derby was this past Saturday afternoon. We had really great cars and lots of fun racing!

Three of Pack 242’s leaders were recognized at the annual district awards ceremony. Damien Speck and Lambert Cruz were awarded Extra Miler awards and Tammy Follensbee was named Chartered Organization Representative of the year. Congratulations to Damien, Lambert, and Tammy!

Pack 242 Blue & Gold spaghetti dinner was yummy. Thank you to Chef Damien Speck!! We had Family Bake-a-Cake competition that we had Eagle Scouts from Troop 426 judging the desserts. They seemed to enjoy this great responsibility...LOL! Be sure to view some of the many great cakes that were entered in to the contest. Thank you to all who joined us!!
