[08/25/17]   The man who's been here from day 1 and stayed though it all, Coach Joey Horel has some new, really good opportunities ahead.

He's leading our 12:15 class tomorrow for one last time. Don't worry he's not leaving us forever, just for a season of life.

If you can make it, come have some fun, wish him well and leave a little work in his honor.

Mira and Gina joined us today at our 12:15pm class. They were childhood friends in the Philippines and it was the first time in 26 years since seeing each other. The chose the Arizona Grand Resort/Activlab to reunite. Thank you for letting us be apart of such a special occasion. By the way, they both crushed today's workout too. 🏋️‍♀️💪

Today marks the 4 year anniversary of the tragic passing of 19 courageous men in Yarnell, Arizona. The Granite Mountain Hotshots crew. The fire they were desperately fighting overran them, taking their lives. They were fathers, sons, husbands and brothers. Their lives cut short in an effort to save others.

We remember them by carrying the “19 Rock” up South Mountain, dedicating atop the summit and descending. The rock was from the same summit on the 1st memorial hike.

We sometimes train barefoot at the Activlab. Since our feet are in constant contact with the ground, it's so important to keep them strong and healthy. Most commercial gyms won't allow this for obvious reasons but fortunately we are not like most gyms😃. There are so many benefits to training barefoot, we encourage you to give it a try sometime when the opportunity is right. 👣👣👣👣

12:15 class heading into the Easter weekend strong. The workout was done with a partner, 5 exercises for 5 minutes each. It was a "you go, I go" tempo.
•sled drags
•5 band rows
•5 squats
•5 push-ups (not included in the video)
We finished with hill sprints.

[04/12/17]   We are sad to announce our beloved member Linnea will be leaving us at the end of April. She is answering the next calling in her career by moving to Seattle to work in a hospital!

Since joining we have seen her lose weight, while simultaneously gaining strength. Not too bad of a trade 😊.

More importantly, she fit right into our Activlab family and built some great friendships. Thank you for being part of our family Linnea. You will be missed!!

P.s. Linnea will attend her last class at 6:15am this Friday, April 14th!
