After tonight’s marathon win, the Diamondbacks get ANOTHER 3-0 this afternoon on the backs of Gabby Moreno and Eduardo Rodriguez. At 57-52 the snakes are now tied with Philadelphia for the SECOND Wild Card slot.

With the trade deadline around the corner it’s really interesting to see if we stand still or try to make a season defining move.

The Diamondbacks begin a pivotal Wild Card series against the Pirates who just happen to be right below us in the standings. We send Merrill Kelly to the mound against Mitch Keller for Pittsburgh.

We need our pitchers to dig in. We’ve shown we can score lately but continuing to score 7+ in a loss is crazy.

Anyone else find it funny that within the course of ONE DAY, Jacoby Brissett who has NOT been in the facility most of the summer - trumps Nathaniel Hackett’s assessment of Jeremiyah Love? 😂

Hackett who has been in the building ALL SUMMER gives the world a “he’s definitely a rookie” evaluation whereas Jacoby just walks in the room and goes:

“I see why we paid him 50M, that’s for sure.”

I feel like that assessment from an actual player carries a lot more volume than just a generalization.

The Cards just agreed to end their contract issue with Jacoby as his base is bumped up to 15.5 with incentives for over 21M.

What do you guys think? Fair deal? Massive overpay? Or looks about right for a team that isn’t sure of its identity? 🤔

I was hoping Beck had a more sure opportunity if I’m being honest but I AM happy for Jacoby. Now everyone can get to work.

I don’t know if any of you take stock or thought into what Bleacher Report mentions but I find it super comical that they just ranked the Suns lineup at 20 going into this next year…

Given what we saw last year is everyone just being cautious or damn right disrespectful? 🤔

The Diamondbacks look to get back after it this afternoon as Kohl Drake takes the mound. It’s pleasing to know with how hit or miss the first half of the year was - how we still never panic and we’re in the thick of the playoff race. 🫡

Call me too inquisitive but what do we think about potentially watching a potential Diamondbacks trade target today? At least - in my opinion, Foster Griffin would be a GREAT check in if we wanted to not only be serious about NOW but have the potential to bring him in longterm like we did with Merrill Kelly.. 👀

The Diamondbacks are back in action again today against the Nats where Mitch Bratt looks to turn the Nationals lineup into “Stadium Bratts” and keep our hot streak moving! 🫡

Tonight, Brandon Pfaadt takes the mound again in a resurgence that I AM ALL IN ON, you’ve heard my call - so for it to play into fruition so far is great for his revival and our postseason hopes.

This next week we really see what we’re made of or what potential moves we could be eying.

The Cardinals and CARSON BECK reach a 4 year 7.4 milly agreement! Committing to Beck first is another wild chapter in the Jacoby contract situation which I feel goes even further down the hole now..

Thoughts? Is it Beck’s job to lose?
