This was the current state Tony was in prior with working with my team

One of the top mistakes people make when trying to regain their health and fitness is going from zero to 💯

I had a call with a woman yesterday who wants to lose weight and adopt fitness as a lifestyle

She tried a few trainers in the past and she couldn’t be consistent with it because they would push her beyond her limits and not take into consideration of where she was at

Let me tell you about Alex.

Alex had one of the worst injuries that can take out any top athlete. Not long ago she tore her Achilles’ tendon.

If you know anything about this injury you know how gruesome it is and how hard it is to come back from.

Instead of having a pity party Alex hired a trainer (me) as well as a physical therapist to get her back in shape. I admire Alex because she allowed her set back to set her up for a come back.

Now she is living her dream as a police officer which is a very physical occupation. On top of that she’s ran multiple 5ks and even ran her first 10k under an hour and 15 minutes.

This is the mindset we all can admire! Great job Alex

As a coach, first and foremost my goal is to get my clients to optimal performance with high energy. “Looking good” is just a byproduct of that

The problem is not finding time for fitness- no matter what executive say. They generally have the power to get done anything they seriously want to do. The problem is that they don’t believe they even need to.

Getting winded from a 5 minute run or having 15lbs of stubborn belly fat can’t stop them from doing their job. The job is more important than anything else

But their jobs, as well as their bodies, can be the victims of that kind of thinking. Decision making, attention and family life suffer.

Doing anything well requires energy and you just have a lot more energy when you’re fit.

I need an in person trainer because I need someone to keep me accountable & push me to see results

I heard this way too many times during Covid

I’ll argue that remote fitness coaching is always more valuable than in person training

Here are some lessons I learned from helping clients over the years

1️⃣ Real accountability is not just making sure your clients makes it to the gym, but good accountability is someone who is helping you clarify and quantify what hitting your goals look like. This means every time you hit a roadblock you have a coach to support you through it instantly.

2️⃣ 80% of results come from outside of the gym so having a coach doing habit tracking and weekly calls are invaluable to a clients success and it’s something you just can’t do confined in a gym

3️⃣ In person training is great for relationship building but remote fitness coaching is results based first. Having a great relationship with your client is a great thing but giving them great results is better.

4️⃣ When I trained inside a gym I had limited time to no time to educate my clients on why they are hitting plateaus or not reaching their goals. Speaking from personal experience my clients have been seeing great results because it’s 100% education based.
