Wow! It's been awhile since I've posted...

Sorry for the inactivity, everyone. I swear I was being productive, and that you'll see some cool stuff soon!

Like this Lake in Washington...

Well, I just submitted my three photos for the Arizona Game and Fish calendar/photo contest.

Here they are!

Fatherhood is the best gift you can receive from having a child.

Being a father is the best gift you can give to a child.

Just hold on for a bit... wedding photos coming soon!

Here it is, the largest, active wildfire in the US: The Bush fire.

Currently (as of 6/17/2020), at 2130 hours, the fire is 105,000 acres, with 5% containment.

High, multi-directional winds, difficult access, and a lot of fuel are what make this fire difficult to fight, spreading it so quickly.

Fires in higher elevations are beneficial for many reasons, including propagation of growth from pine trees, and other high elevation dwellers.

However, for desert-type ecosystems, such as the desert in which the Bush fire is burning, it is detrimental as this flora does not propagate, and grow as quickly as it's evergreen neighbors to the north.

The Krypton Chronicles

The man in red is waiting anxiously, and desperately. The feeling of helplessness was so strong, everyone could feel it.

The winds were strong, and there was an overabundance of dry brush everywhere.

His house was located less than a mile from the fire, in the direction that the wind was blowing.

Beauty and destruction.

Mood. Who is with me?

I've always been an eye person.

I truly believe you can look into someone's eyes, and tell a story. For that reason, I love portraiture.

My model @jeanetteloper proved me wrong.

Sometimes we want the satisfaction of eye contact; it's absolute, it directs us, and draws us in. We can read expression, and assume the story being told.

However, when we remove the eye contact, a different story is told, and the story is left to the imagination of the viewer...

Had a fun time shooting a little princess in the Superstition desert yesterday!

Hey guys and gals!

As many of you know, I have changed my business name! (more on that later).

Anyways, I was fortunate enough to capture some cool images, and will be selling prints.

If you're interested in any of them, DM me!

Happy Monday, everyone!

Just finished up a trip, and have new prints for sale!

Let me know if interested!

Maternity photoshoot last weekend!

Rembrandt lighting, or unidirectional lighting, makes images compelling, and contrastive.

This can be achieved in studio, or on location.

Interested in headshots with this type of lighting? Let me know when you book with me!

[12/28/19]   I know it has been a minute since I've posted, but I promise good stuff is coming!

Today I had the opportunity to photograph the event, Shop with a Cop, put on by the Phoenix Police Department , and their association (PLEA).

This event gave an opportunity for deserving kids from the local community to partner with a police officer and shop for Christmas gifts for their families.

Blue Santa made an appearance in his special sleigh, and everyone had a great time!

Thanks again!

If you would like to know how to get involved in other upcoming events, or would just like to donate, feel free to contact PLEA Charities directly.

P.S. we need to make the kid wearing the Batman hat famous!

I got a new camera!

Do you know what that means?

That means my photos are clearer, colors are more vibrant, darks are clearer, which gives me more to work with.

Here's a test shot.

More to come!

Does anyone else love when it rains in the desert?

Something magical happens when you get outside, and spend time in nature.

In case to missed it, this little girl just had a birthday!

So, funny story-

This last weekend I was at work (my full-time, non-photography work), and was amazed by the sunset that I was seeing at South Mountain.

As per usual, I pulled my camera out (that I basically carry with me everywhere) on the brief break that I had, so I could photograph the sunset.

The sunset was magical.

So much, in fact, that I turned to my coworker (who was with me), and continually expressed my wish of having a classic car to position at the trailhead for an amazing auto shoot. I'm sure he was getting annoyed with me...

In this exact moment, a classic, cherry red Chevy truck emerged from the parking lot. I knew it was meant to be, so I decided that once it got close, I was going to stop the driver to see if I could quickly borrow it for a quick shoot.

As the truck approached, I observed a bride and groom sitting in the cab of the truck.

"This couldn't have turned out any better!", I thought to myself.

I stopped the couple, and explained my intentions.

They agreed to let me shoot them!

I found myself going from a sunset shoot, to a classic car shoot, to a wedding shoot within a matter of minutes.

They explained that they just got married, and we're actually up at the trailhead for wedding photos.

As I was halfway through with my impromptu, 8-minute wedding shoot, the groom said, laughingly, "here comes our photographer!".

I stood there as the female in the gray, four door sedan drove by.

"Hey!?", She yelled jokingly, passing us.

Fortunately for me, I was in the perfect spot, with perfect subjects.

I got everything I could have ever wanted, within minutes.

And to that fellow photographer (if you're on here), I meant no harm, and my intentions were not malicious. And I absolutely promise I was not trying to poach your clients!
