Changing and knowing you need to are two incredibly different things. It isn’t enough to want to be healthy or want to lose weight or want to build muscle. The power lies when you finally become fed up and refuse to settle anymore. When the pain of the discomfort, insecurity, exhaustion, illness or disease becomes more than you can bare and you change. What have you settled for in your life that you CAN start changing today! ?!

#1: BASAL METABOLIC RATE

I refer a lot to your BMR as your ‘sleeping’ calories. This number measures how many calories your body is burning at rest. It is the fuel necessary for all your major physiological process (i.e circulation, brain function, breath). This makes up 60-70% of your total daily energy expenditure!!!

#2: EXERCISE ACTIVITY THERMOGENESIS

This number is the calories through intentional activity. Most only focus on this number.

#3: NON-EXERCISE ACTIVITY THERMOGENESIS

NEAT is the most overlooked and fundamental for fat loss. Making up about 20% of your total daily energy expenditure. This is how active you are throughout the day that does not include deliberate exercise. Do you take the stairs at work? Park further than necessary to your destination? Labor-based job? Clean the house? Fidget? Sit all day outside for the occasional bathroom or water refill?

PURPOSE:
Our goal is to create an environment for you within our gym to find success outside our walls. Your ability to not just be challenged but build resiliency and true strength is the measuring stick we aim for.

In each UNI-FIT class you will not only work in all three planes of motion, but receive a well-rounded workout combining mobility, stability, strength, and stamina.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Be prepared to work your entire body, in all directions, on various equipment. This class attempts to give the time-limited individual a variety of necessary foundational building blocks within 1 hour.

When you lose your HEALTH, you lose your FREEDOM.

Creating a resilient health mindset requires an overarching desire to look at your health deeper than what’s on the scale. Creating and sustaining health looks a lot like recovering faster from intense physical efforts, illness, injuries and stress. Building resiliency requires active practice. Not when it’s convenient. Not when it’s necessary. EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I challenge you to not take short cuts. Dive deep into the messages your body is trying to tell you vs masking them with quick band-aides. With every choice there is an equal or opposite reaction going on within your body. The practice of health starts with you leaning in. Becoming more present. More aware. More understanding of how your environment makes you feel. Let your daily life and habits reflect the health that you are striving for. ♥️💪
