You see, when we received our official designation after 6 months of waiting, no one told us we had to go back and file taxes for the years prior to getting the 501. So they revoked our status after the first tax year claiming we hadn't filed for 3 consecutive years even though the organization haven't even existed for 3 years.

So we are back to raising money so we can continue to do what we do. We are still a legal non profit, just work back to the 501 status. We are also also great full for anyone interested in helping us through the filing and tax issues!

Good morning Facebook! BASE has been receiving two to three requests daily to help student athletes. Our inventory is running low and our funds are rapidly decreasing. Consider making a donation today of equipment or funds!

We currently have 8 request pending fulfillment.

Think about doing a little pay it forward this weekend by helping us collect enough money or the right sizes of equipment to fulfill these requests. Make an athlete smile just like you see in the photo below.

An amazing delivery day for founder, Maddy O'Neal, as she was able to help out 3 great student athletes get some much needed equipment for baseball and softball. Thanks for the support from GHS athletic director, Julie Patton.

B.A.S.E. | Bringing Athletes Sports Equipment – 501c3

Guess what time it is??? Its football time! And badminton and volleyball and cross country and golf! That's right its time for high school sports to get going!

We need your help!

We are now collecting donations of new and slightly used equipment like cleats, court schools, running shoes, golf shoes as well as clubs, racquets and birdies! Monetary donations are always welcome and are used for purchasing these types of items.

Not only are we collecting, but we are handing out items. If you know of a student athlete who is in need of any athletic equipment in order to participate in fall sports, have them visit our website and click on the equipment request link and complete a request. We will do our best to get them the item as soon as possible.

Some exciting news for BASE!

BASE has been officially approved as a federal Tax exempt 501c3 non profit. This process has taken many hours, countless amounts of paperwork, publications, fees, etc. not to mention the perseverance of both Maddy O'Neal and Erin.
We are both very excited to turn a new page for BASE and begin working on grants as well as corporate donations!
Remember if you have any athletic items to donate or would like to now donate to the organization for a tax deduction, we are always accepting donations!

Moon Valley High School will be doing an equipment drive over the next few days. Student Council is asking for students to bring in either new or slightly used items and in return they get in on a raffle.

So, if anyone has found anything while doing some spring cleaning or if you have bought some new things for new season, or if just finished your sport and want to donate those items, bring it by Moon Valley to the office and I will make sure Maddy gets it.

Also, if anyone out there has an extra gift card around they would like to donate to the raffle, let me know! More incentives will help get the students to bring in more things!!!

We are hoping that things go smooth with that and we will hear back soon as to our status. Also we are getting fashionable and getting some t-shirts! We are going to look like a team when we get out there and give things away!!!!
