I rarely post on Facebook but since most of my friends are different than on IG I wanted to make sure I post this here as well.

You make a promise to yourself every year that you are going to transform your body/habits. Every year you start off strong and then fall. Make this the year where you don’t give up on yourself. Where you have someone holding you accountable and helping you along the way.

No gym needed but if you have one there are workouts that go along with the program.

I’ve been coaching for nearly 10 years now.��One thing I know for certain is that your January diet will always fail if you think it starts & ends with a restrictive new year push with no awareness of yourself or your relationships with food and fitness.

Usually it creates a cycle of overeating and yo-yo dieting.

It doesn’t matter if you do Weight Watchers, Noom, Orange Theory, or CrossFit, F45 whatever it is.

Incorporating knowledge of yourself and your identity with food, your emotions, lifestyle, environment and habits is key.

This is what I have found to create lasting success.

If you want to continue seeing the same results you have had every single years, by all means keep doing what you are doing.

Hey Y’all just wanted to introduce to you my new lifestyle transformation program. I’ve created this program because I realized after our challenges end most people don’t keep up with their goals. So this is more of a consistency challenge. It’s meant to be a program on its own that you can do for life. I only ask a 3-month commitment because that is where the transformation mark really happens without having to go on a full strict diet or following macros. If you haven’t seen I’ve been working with Jeremy who has lost already 10lbs in about 2 months and he did not follow macros or any diet I just gave him specific goals and checked in with him monthly. He is still going strong as his goal is to lose a little more weight.

I am starting this program with special offer of $110 monthly or $300 upfront payment with a 3-month commitment for anyone you recommend or yourself. You do not need a gym membership for this (I also work with people who have their own EOS membership I just provide workouts and support) this price will go up to $150 monthly or $420 for an upfront payment. Before I forget! Wanted to shout out Jeremy! We just had our monthly check in about a week and a half ago and he has lost a total of 10lbs and is down about 1.6% body fat. We have done this with the holidays going on and guess what? He didn’t follow any macros, we didn’t cut calories, he didn’t do an excessive amount of workouts (only 3x per week of classes). This was all with simple goals we gave him to follow and consistency. All you need is 80% consistency and enjoying yourself the rest of the time. Small goals set you up for success in the long term. This isn’t a 30 day challenge and then we leave you. It’s a program where we guide you through all your lifestyle habits and focus on creating change. If at any point you feel you already have control then you just continue it on your own. However we find the most success with people who continue to check in with our coach. It’s all in the accountability of you don’t have that you just revert back to old patterns.

The reason why you’re struggling to see results usually comes down to one main thing…�.�You aren’t being consistent with the tried and true process, that’s responsible for 90% of your results.�.�Stay tuned for our Lifestyle Habit Transformation program starting early next year. It's small changes. Sometimes it’s boring.

But, consistency is the key.

If you aren’t consistent with eating in a deficit, walking / moving more, and strength training, you won’t get the results you seek.

The key to success is developing strategies and systems that make it easier to do those 3 main things on a regular basis.

You don’t need a complicated workout program.
You don’t need to change your diet from low carb, to high carb, to keto.
You don’t need to fix your bad genetics and slow metabolism.

You just need to focus on, and master the basics.

That’s where 90% of your progress will come from.

Some days it’s harder for me to cultivate a positive mindset than others.

When this happens, I’ve found that I need to take 20 minutes out of my busy day and get outside and walk my pup!

The mental health benefits of exercise are well documented, it’s known to reduce stress and increase levels of “feel good” hormones like dopamine.

But many of us overlook the perks of simply spending time outdoors.

While outdoor physical activities such as jogging, kayaking and hiking combine both physical exercise and the outdoors for a mental health jackpot, simply spending time in nature in any form can improve your mental outlook, in addition to providing physical benefits.

What’s your favorite way to get outside and improve your mindset?


1️⃣ - Develop the right mindset.
Through constant self-improvement you’ll be able to transcend the chaos of daily life and live in a state of growth and progression.

2️⃣ - Move your body every single day (outside if you can), and eat to fuel your body.

The lessons that you’ll learn in the gym, will have a positive impact on every area of your life and will leave you feeling, looking, and performing better than ever before.

3️⃣ - Sleep.
You simply can’t function well (or at all) without adequate sleep.

Get these three things in check, and I promise everything else will start to fall into place for you!

Gyms tend to be about 30% busier starting in January. November and December shows decline because people are “too busy” (priorities change).

Building momentum during these next couple weeks of the holiday season will put you ahead of the game for those New Year’s resolutions. You would have built up a routine, new habits, reduce gym anxiety all while still enjoying the holidays with your friends and family.

Fun Fact: I turned 30 years old this year. Did you know Muscle mass decreases approximately 3-8% per decade after the age of 30 and this rate of decline is even higher after the age of 60. Talking to some of my older clients here as we also tend to move less as we get older simply because it’s something we have been wired to think.

This is called Sarcopenia and it is the involuntary loss of muscle mass, strength, function, and metabolic functions as you age, and I especially see this in sedentary lifestyle.

It is a fundamental cause of disability, progressive increase in fat mass and negative changes in body composition, while also increasing insulin resistance.

Not to mention bone density decreases, joint stiffness increases, and there are a wide range of other possible conditions including diabetes, heart issues, and osteoporosis.

Are you ready for the good news?

The good news is… This process can be reversed in these 5 ways:

1. Resistance Training:

Having a customized program that accounts for your goals, your movement pattern, and starting point is key. This helps build muscle fibers and signals muscle cells to grow and repair themselves.

2. Walking

This is one activity anyone can do anywhere. Slow zone 2 aerobic work coupled with resistance training is an unbeatable combination when it comes to improving your body composition.

3. Proper Nutrition

Getting your protein up in your diet directly signals your muscle issues to build and strengthen, especially when coupled with resistance training.

Coupling this with other supplements like Vitamin D, Omega – 3 Fatty Acids, and Creatine will help. Your body be properly fueled and primed for lean muscle tissue growth. Obviously, always consult your doctor or nutritionist before committing to a specific protocol for you.

Focus of this program is not to just last 6 weeks. The 6-weeks are to get you started on your personal health and wellness journey and build a base of strength and movement awareness. The focus will be on the power lifts. Squat/Bench/Deadlift complimented with body building accessory work. On top of the fitness component we will have a nutrition piece. This is key for seeing results.

We’ve got exciting news to share!

The end of December 2022 marks 14 years since I opened Core CrossFit in Downtown Phoenix. My team and I were very proud to be one of the first CrossFit Affiliate gyms in Arizona. A lot has changed since we held our first group CrossFit class January 1, 2009. Over the years we’ve proudly served up the “CrossFit Kool-Aid” to thousands of Phoenix residents. We’ve held fast to our mission - to encourage and embrace a diverse community; serve the fitness needs of “all people;” help our members achieve their personal fitness, health, and wellness goals in a safe and non-judgmental environment; and always “give back” to our local community. I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished and excited for the future!

On January 1, 2023, Core Collective Fitness aka Core CrossFit will have a new owner! Head Coach, Fredo Lopez, will take over the reins and leadership of the business. Fredo and I have worked together for TEN YEARS. I have complete confidence in his abilities to continue our good work.

Fredo has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness from ASU and a Masters in Rehabilitative Science. He holds CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Level 2, and CrossFit Aerobic Capacity Trainer Certificates. He is a USAW Sports Performance Coach. Fredo has been coaching CrossFit, strength, and conditioning for more than eleven years. It’s his passion and, according to Fredo, his life work!

I will continue to operate The Fitness HUB in the Central Arts Plaza BMO Tower building and will keep the Fit Phoenix and Longevity Life Zone brands. Moving forward, I will facilitate our LLZ 40+ program from The Fitness HUB.

I am thankful for the many years of support from the Downtown Phoenix community. Fredo is looking forward to stepping in and getting to know all of you in his new role as a small business owner.

Get Ripped is an 8-week program where participants focus on bodybuilding type movements with an emphasis on building lean muscle and burning fat.

This small group, private training program kicks off Wednesday, September 7th. Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at 5 p.m. at our Fitness HUB location and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. at 902 E. McKinley Street.

The $349 registration fee includes an 8-week membership to our private, full-service Fitness HUB location in Central Arts Plaza.

Participants can add on carb cycling support for an extra onetime fee of $99. Carb cycling involves going back-and-forth between high and low carb days. It is used by athletes and bodybuilders to drop fat, gain more muscle mass, and often kickstart weight loss.

What’s your inner voice telling you?
