Our Warriorettes spent the last week at camp at Southeastern Louisiana University learning new routines, game day material, building teamwork, and making memories that will last a lifetime!

Their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes paid off as they:

👏 Both our boys and girls teams finished 7th overall out of 15 teams.

Congratulations to all of our athletes and coaches for their hard work and dedication!

HCA Archery competed in the AIMS State Championship April 24th.

HCA finished 4th in our division out of 19 teams and placed 8th overall out of 77 teams in the tournament.

Seeing Heritage Christian Academy ranked in the top 10 across all schools in Mississippi is an outstanding accomplishment!

Let that sink in, #8 in the entire state of Mississippi! Out of over 600 teams and more than 6,000 student archers competing in the AIMS program, this is something truly special.

Truly an amazing season and we are not done yet!

HCA Track & Field Announcement

The legacy of HCA Track & Field continued in impressive fashion. Competing with one of the youngest teams in the field, our athletes demonstrated grit, determination, and the strength of a program built on excellence.

HCA has long been recognized for its dominance in the mid- to long-distance events, and that tradition carried on today. Gavin, Levi, Bethany, and Zeta led the charge with outstanding performances on the 3200 securing 1st and 2nd place finishes. In the 1600 meters, Zeta and Bethany returned to flip the results, once again claiming the top two spots. Gavin delivered a commanding performance in the mile, separating himself from the field in dominant fashion.

In the 800 meters, Loui fought hard to earn a 4th place finish and has qualified for the state meet. Zeta qualified in the 800 meters as well. Both our boys’ and girls’ 4x800 relay teams also advanced, showcasing strong teamwork and depth across the roster.

In the field events, Gavin Spiers stood out as our lone state qualifier in the pole vault with a strong performance.

Additional key contributions came from Sarah Phelps, Isabella Hawkins, Faith Shoopman, Josh Freeman, Andrew Weems, and Gabe Spiers, all of whom played vital roles in our relay success. Several of these athletes are expected to take on even greater responsibilities at the state level.

We are a small and young team, but we compete with the heart of warriors. The future is bright, and the standard remains high.

Our very own archery coach, Eric Hopperdietzel, had the incredible privilege of throwing out the first pitch at the Shucker’s baseball game today!

Coach Eric serves as the Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Station Gulfport, and we are beyond grateful for his dedication and service to our country as well as his leadership on the archery range.

Coach, thank you for all you do—we are proud to have you as part of our HCA family!

Heritage Christian Academy’s Archery Team is headed to NATIONALS in Louisville, KY!

After an incredible season filled with hard work, focus, and determination, our archers have earned their spot on the national stage. They will compete on Friday, May 8th at 9:00 AM—and we couldn’t be more proud!

This is a monumental moment for HCA, as this marks the FIRST sports team in school history to compete at the national level. What an achievement!

These athletes have put in countless hours of practice, shown unwavering dedication, and represented HCA with excellence every step of the way. Now, they’re ready to take on the nation.
