We’re thrilled to announce that The Christian Heady Foundation has been selected as the 2026 Pittsburg Turkey Trot Charity Partner.
The Christian Heady Foundation was created in honor of Christian Heady, whose strength and spirit continue to inspire hope throughout our region. The foundation supports area families facing childhood cancer by providing meaningful moments, practical assistance, and experiences that bring comfort and joy during incredibly difficult seasons. From helping a child meet a sloth on a dream safari to providing travel support for treatment, their mission is rooted in compassion, connection, and creating memories that matter.
This partnership reflects what the Turkey Trot is all about — our community coming together to lift one another up. Funds raised through this year’s event will go directly toward individualized support for children and families in Southeast Kansas and Southwest Missouri who are navigating the challenges of a childhood cancer diagnosis.
