Last week Shruthi Ailneni | శృతి ఐల్నేని and Sushma Gurram rehearsing for the Red Cedar Roots Festival in East Lansing. We find this beautiful rehearsal room from MSU music department so inspiring. Can’t wait to dance more in this magnificent space. We are so proud of Shruthi and Sushma for constantly showing up with dedication and perseverance. Classical dance forms need this sort of rigour. Even though both of them are adult students, their commitment is unmatched and unique. Consistency always wins! Keep showing up Queens! 👸🏾👸🏾

As I now go back to practicing western movement with more commitment with the curiosity of what more it will do for my Kuchipudi dance practice …
I invite you all to my online workshop I will be in conducting from Aug 24-28, 2026 called ‘BALLET PRINCIPLES FOR INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCERS’
