What we see as classic Virgoan traits such as anxious pouring over details and nit-picking perfectionism are not written in the stars...they are negative cultural manifestations of a world that doesn't give us room to rest in the abundance and magic of the world.
Therefore my prayer for you now is to not to let another Virgo season pass without taking up her softer side more often than not.
Can you sit next to a stream or on the soft grass as you make your morning to-do list?
Can you revel in the warmth of the sun and the softness of the breeze as you push your grocery cart to the car?
Can you take time to gaze into the center of a brown-eyed susan before your next meeting?
Can you prioritize a late-season canoe or camping trip with the family over stashing money for Christmas presents this year?
Maybe the answer is yes, maybe it's no. I simply encourage you to lean into pleasure this season as much as you can. Service, an essential theme of Virgo, is only as valuable as the love with which it is given.

It's been a long journey, but and I are getting so close to finally starting new lives in our perfect little log home and magical food forest temple!
Thanks to everyone who has helped along the way and kept us in their prayers as we've bustled about the globe trying to build businesses and find our sanctuary during these turbulent times.
Our travels and studies have contributed so much to how we intend to live here...the lessons we learned in the indigenous communities of Bali, China, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Peru are beautiful seeds for new ways of working with the spirits and elements here on the land...
..and new models for how to share the abundance of food and wisdom we reap.
We prayers are that this land and temple space we tend will be a haven for those seeking some peace, nourishment, and inspiration to create their own food forests and new ways of living with the earth.

I didn't get a chance to post about the splendors of yet.
I can't believe that it's been a whole month since we gathered in those sacred Cherokee hills.
It's always an honor to be included to indigenous-led spaces...an experience that is simultaneous incredibly humbling.
Humble and humus have the same Latin root...meaning vaguely "of the ground."
Building humus and humility are the work of a lifetime...it's how we develop lifeforce power in our bodies and in our shared glorious planet Gaia.
In between teaching plant alchemy of various varieties--with vinegars and in our dreams, I spent my "free time" at Firefly learning about soil alchemy, something I'm incredibly excited about bringing back to our budding homestead in the Cacapon River Valley.
The way we nourish the soils of our lands is cyclical...
..from the way we allow our bodies and the bodies of our loved ones to be taken back home by the earth...
... to the ways we can use our minds, hearts, hands, and tools to nourish and enrich the land we walk on while we are still alive.

I was just lamenting to a friend that I hadn't found any chickens this year yesterday and then these beauties popped up for me.
The earth listens and grants little balms for the soul when we are open.
These have been intense and stressful times for those of us with open hearts and open eyes.
I hope you are treating yourselves kindly and remembering to share your pain, grief, anger, and fear with the earth...she turns it into compost...she fuels herself with it and gives you medicine in return.
This is the dance that all of us need to be doing right now.

The time has come. A reckoning is on the way. We should feel shame. We should allow that shame to humble us back into the earth to where our collective humanity can restore itself.
How did we allow actual n***s to brainwash us into allowing our tax dollars to fund genocide? To displace and slaughter a whole people group for decades.
It's time to fight to put new systems in place.
As Fox News uses its same old scare tactics to tell us Socialism is bad, Im here to say that im fully on board with the coming socialist revolution.
Would I prefer small band hunter gatherer societies with no borders? Yes. Will I take literally anything that doesnt feed off of the blood and suffering of children. Also yes.
