Raceday Recap #21
Friday 7/17 FAB4 at Lernerville Speedway. 19 cars sign in.. Sprints were 3rd on the running order. 3J qualified 4th of 10 putting on the pole in Heat 2, where we led green to checkered, heat race win! Unfortunately the redraw put is behind the 8 ball with a P10 feature start. During the 25 lap feature I was able to pass 6 cars bringing home a 4th place finish and hard charger!
We are extremely happy as we knew the night would be an uphill battle being very light on crew.. Pops, Steve and Brandon had the car set up at the track. I started a job assignment yesterday in Washington County that didn't allow me to get to the track until 615pm, so I was unable to prepare the car with set up or get loaded and unloaded at the track. With the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix this weekend Crew Chief Josh and Car Chief Chubb's are participating in the event, so they were unable to be there this week. All in all a successful night, if the redraw was better I am confident we could have stayed up front, but being buried so deep behind some really good cars made the night an uphill battle. We are coming! Making my idols my rivals!

RACE RECAP NIGHT #20 -
First and formost, during the last week we lost Dan Witherup, one of our most long time supporters and a person we considered family, a honorable man who would be in our Pit crew anytime he could, that last few years he couldn't phyically make it track side much due to being ill. RIP Danno, you will be missed. CANCER SUCKS!
7/11/26 - Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway with FAST on Dirt. a stout 39 cars signed in for the $10K to win $1K to start event so we knew we would have an uphill battle with being light on crew, but Me, Pop, and Chubbs recruited Brandon Hill Friday night after Lernerville rained out. With the qualifying show, we actually did decent qualifying 7th out of 19 in our group... We lined up P3 on Heat race #1 and dropped to 5th before the flag stand on at the start, finishing P6 with only 5 transfering to the main. So we lined up P1 on the B main leading all 10 laps putting us in the show. It was cool to be part of a very rare if ever 6 wide salute as the feature lined up. We went from P21 to P17 in the feature.. The team is very proud of the night. P17 doesn't sound that great but there were 22 cars that wished they got 17th, including some really great teams that didn't even make the show! We have always struggled with PPMs as we don't run "big tracks" too often, so we will take the night as a success.
I can't thank my crew enough. We have come a long way and are competitive with some of the best teams in PA/OH, all while starting from scratch just 3 years ago. No generations of racing, no years of notebooks. 3 years ago we knew nothing, and had very little equipment that wasn't decent. We have built a competitive team from the ground up, learning every step of the way! Thank you guys (and their family that support the team!).
Up next is Lernerville Speedway for FAB4 Friday 7/17, but there is a Test and Tune Tuesay 7/14 so we are going to try to get Bella out in the 305 (we have had fuel issues both prior practice nights)
Lookig forward next weekend, although we are racing Friday, we will be off from Sprints Saturday and Sunday to be Pit crew for the #27 of Caliente Pizza & Drafthouse at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix drive by my crew chief Josh Hartman...

RACEDAY at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway with FAST on Dirt !

Team 3J took Last weekend off with the local tracks not running Sprints with the 4th holiday, so Pops decided at the last minute that the family needed some Vitamin "Sea" so we dropped over to the MD coast. Pops wants to add the "Three Js" to the 3J fleet, but only if he can get over being sea sick and be able to captain it (He is terrible!, but I am sure Capt Rabe's can give him some lessons!).
We are back and in the shop today getting ready for the weekend! Plan is Fab4 at Lernerville Speedway Friday, and Saturday Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway with FAST on Dirt!

Raceday Recap #19: Wayne County Speedway. 13 Sprints signed in. We qualified mid pack. The race format is straight up all night, so fastest qualified starts up front in heats, heat race finish determine the feature line up, there is no inversion where fastest qualified starts 4 in heat or redraw from heat to line up feature (personally we prefer some type of redraw/inversion as it tends to make for "better racing"). Anyway started P4 in heat finished there, pretty much for both heats how you came out of turn 2 on lap 1 was how you finished. Feature started P7 and finished P4. Track was definitely very racy and was a lot of fun!
After the feature all I could say is "This place is BAD ASS!".
We hope to get back to Wayne County again, hopefully for a series event (with redraw, heat race inversion from qualifying, as we don't always qualify the best) so we will have to look at our schedule moving forward. It will probably be more of a last minute decision to come back as our Saturday racing usually is.
As of right now next week is open on our schedule with nothing "local" due to July 4th holiday weekend and not sure if we will "chase to race" but July 10th at Lernerville we will back back for sure for Fab4 Friday!

Raceday Recap #18 - Lernerville Speedway 23 cars signed in. Finally qualified decent 2nd of 8 putting us starting P3 in heat. Dropped back to P4 on first turn and finished there missing redraw. Started P12 in feature and passed a lot of cars but got passed by 2 as well. Finished P7. We are very pleased with the night, and definately felt if we made the redraw we could have had a little better results.
We proudly added "Be kind like Ryan" and to the car last night, so we ask for prayers for our friend and "family". **KCANCER
We are off the rest of the weekend with prior commitments and to celebrate Father's Day, I'm pretty sure Pops will be at that One Particular Harbour, La Ora Te Natura.....
Sprint Car racing thins out a bit locally the next 2 weeks, Our next race on the schedule is Saturday June 27 at Sharon Speedway and not sure how far we will chase to race or just take the weekend off the weekend of the July 4th. Otherwise Fab4 Friday July 10th at Lernerville Speedway and FAST on Dirt at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday July 11th.
