Hey Love…
Sometimes a relationship ends, but the pain doesn’t end with it. You may be grieving the person, the marriage, the relationship, the memories, the plans, or even the version of yourself you were when you believed it was going to last.
Heartbreak can leave you feeling as though pieces of you were scattered everywhere. But hear me:
Being brokenhearted does not mean your story is broken.
Sometimes healing begins when you stop trying to put the old life back together and start discovering who you are now. You may have lost the relationship. You may have lost what you thought your future would look like. You may even feel like you lost yourself somewhere between loving them, fighting for the relationship, forgiving, compromising, waiting, hoping, and trying to make everything work. But you are still here. And that means there is still something beautiful left to rebuild.
Step One: Self-Love
Before you worry about finding another person, come back and find you.Ask yourself:
Who am I when I am no longer trying to be enough for someone else?
What parts of myself did I neglect while trying to hold this relationship together?
What does my heart need from me now?
Your healing does not require you to pretend you never loved them. It requires you to love yourself enough to accept that something can be over and your life can still become beautiful again. You don’t have to heal everything today. Today, just choose yourself. Choose to get out of bed. Choose to eat. Choose to breathe. Choose not to call the person who keeps reopening the wound. Choose not to abandon yourself because somebody else couldn’t or wouldn’t. Love you the way you needed.
Today’s Affirmations
I am healing.
I am returning to myself.
I am worthy beyond what ended.
I release the belief that losing them means I lost me.
My broken pieces are becoming the foundation of my inner peace.
This is Day One. We’re not rushing to heal. We’re going to walk through it piece by piece, truth by truth, day by day, until those broken pieces no longer represent what destroyed you.
They represent what you rebuilt. So for today’s assignment, write down five things about yourself that existed before the relationship and still belong to you today.
Maybe it’s your strength. Your humor. Your creativity. Your dreams. Your compassion. Your faith. Your ambition. Your ability to love deeply.
Whatever you write, look at those five things and remind yourself:
I did not lose everything when I lost the relationship. I still have me.
Welcome to Day One of Healing From Broken Pieces to Inner Peace.
We are not putting the old pieces back where they were. We are creating something more whole, more conscious, more peaceful, and this time we are building from within.
