Jacob Bendel Memorial Softball Tournament This page is to keep everyone up to date on Jake's softball tournament and to save all our memories!

The Jacob Bendel Memorial Softball Tournament is an annual event held in memory of Jacob William Bendel. Jacob passed away in July of 2005 from myocarditis at the age of 12. This tournament is our way of keeping his memory alive, while raising funds for the community. Through the years, we have raised money for scholarships, educational programs, and children with illnesses.

Year 20 is in the books. 20 years we have been able to keep this tournament going strong because of all the support we get from each and everyone of you. The umpires and family and friends that donate their time and energy, the countless people and organizations that donate food and baskets for our raffles. Thank you to all 9’of the teams that participated this year. It looked a little different then in years past but it really was a fabulous day to play softball and to celebrate Jacob’s Memory. Thank you weather for holding out ! Special thank you to Chris Thoma and EFYAA for allowing us to use the fields and facilities. Thank you to the KOHI& VICE teams for coming out early to make sure the fields were playable and to help set up. Congratulations to Tourqued Up and VICE on your repeated championships. Year 20 was a great one.
